Grey german Tanker?

Post by MandaloreSC » Wed Sep 27, 2006 9:51 am

Hi guys!
I've never seen this german tanker in this colors before. Was he available with the weathered BOB versions of the tiger and panther tanks? I think this is a really nice figure! Sad, that this guy wasn't available as a carded figure.

That figure was totally avaliable as a carded figure, at Wal mart even :D

It came with the repaints of the first series of the BoB troops. These were the repaints where the German soldiers had gray helmets (instead of white) and the German tankers came in the solid green and spotted cammo uniforms. They were all over my area for a while, and I got enough of the green-uniformed figures to crew my gray Tiger tank.

Although its really not necessary, a new German tanker in the regular black/dark blue uniform like the S1 Panther and Tiger commanders but with new articulation would be cool

Thanks very much, tmanthegreat!
Sometimes I hate it to live in germany :( I'd love to have a couple of those guys for my tiger tanks but I have no idea where to get them. I've never seen this tanker version on ebay or any online store before. And as a german collector, there aren't any alternatives to US Ebay and Online stores.

Also it really seems hard to stay up to date with XD. There are a lot of repaints and different versions of the figures/vehicles/planes. A better image databank with all the releases would be very helpful.

Don't feel bad, I never saw the green German Tankers and I live here in the states. It just depended upon your WM's distribution, and I can safely say that the ones around Pittsburgh PA hardly carried the S1 BotB and their repaint wave. :(

They've really not stocked S2 BotB too well though I have seen them at my nearest WM at least a couple times, so that's something.

Marines and Japanese were all the Pitt area ever got in any quantity... :(

Another problem with this guy is there were two tankers in the box - one in each camo pattern, where the other figures were two to a box. I stumbled on one of each once, and that was it.

Thanks very much for all of your advices.
I hope I can find this tanker anywhere.
There are only white tankers in the online-store of Bad Cat Toys. But maybe they can help me if I ask for the grey version.

How would you call it, lsc1002? Gray-green? Green? It's hard to see.

..okay green! :D

As a german XD fan it's not very easy to collect the line. The only alternatives are US Ebay, UK Ebay and some online stores. If there is an item I can't find online - bad luck for me.
You can lots of Walmarts in Germany too, but they don't any XD items.
Do you think that XD is more sucessfull now, then it was when it's been an exclusive Toys R Us line?

I'd say yes, but any line relegated to one retailer (more or less) isn't really getting the feet under it that I'm sure they want. XD could move at multiple retailers I'm certain... It's a shame WM is the only place to get it besides online. I'd love to see it stocked at Target, or even back at TRU.
