Question on WC57 with the Paratroopers?
I was wondering what two paratroopers came with this version of the WC57 Command Car? Was there any difference in the one with Patton & Driver? Thanks for any help.

I haven't seen the WC-57 in the set with the paras but there are a couple of differences between Pattons CC and the regular run of the mill CC:
1- The armor shield over the radiator was a Patton design, not used extensively.
2- Same with the .50cal on the running board. Very, very rarely used and when used is was usually a .30cal. A .50cal firing on the running board would tear the board right off. The running board had no place for support underneath. Nice for show, but not for firing. I owned a WC-56 for ten years and the running board would give when I stepped up on it. The battery in the battery box on the running board was a monster bus battery 12V used for the CC radios if they carried one, and that added more weight.
3- The luggage rack on the back was again rarely used. It was a field mod.
4- Sirens would only be used on an MP vehicle. Evan most generals didn't use sirens..
I've mentioned before that the CC was designed for high ranking officers, but due to the very distinctive high silouete, the Germans targeted CC's whenever they saw them and CC's were regulated to clerks and generals used Jeeps.
A great vehicle, in my opinion, but didn't have to be "pimped" out like Pattons.

Anyone have a picture of the WC with the para's?
I know there was some confusion (a lot of it on my part) on whether there was a version with paras, or whether it was the Merrils Marauders set (which also had paras and a WC).
Ie, does anyone know for sure or have proof that there was a WC with Paratroopers that wasn't the Merril set at TRU..

One of my WC57s came with a fuzzy monster!
When my son sets up the 1/18 stuff it always seems to be under attack at night! Well I finally caught the culprit!
First pic was without a flash as not to chase him off!

Picture two is the proof!
