Assuming you can still find some, the new "Night Stalker" figure as well as the older Blackhawk crew figures are out there and work very well for modern helo pilots!

I would love for BBI to release carded versions of their modern tanker, or at least the helmets.

I saw recon on another board that said the Black F-18 was at TRU. Don't know if this is old news but it is the first I heard of it. Usually the EF stuff comes in waves so hopefully this is a sign of other stuff arriving as well. As said, August is usually a figure release month for EF. Can't wait to see what else may materialize. 8)

I'm seeing many more new BBI figures at TRU... Some have fewer than others but I am seeing a wider distribution of the new moderns and the repack WW2 guys...

Now I just wish I could find the ORIGINAL WW2 figures in some bulk. :)

Good news...be sure to check out any LBs you see as Mike has said the Nightstalker version was due soon. I take it no sign of the new modern figure we saw from CC? Maybe he is the LB pack-in...what better excuse for me to buy a bunch of those. 8)
Hopefully the small retailers will get a re-stock of the WWII guys..just too hard to army build them off the pegs.

Regarding the weapon sets for bbi figures, there's a series of figures that are sold at Target. These are a little funky in how they are designed but they too come with weapon sets. I've found that these are just as good as the weapons that come with the figures and do include some of the more modern sota weapons.

I've forgotten the name of the series but I'll try to find it.

Combat Command, with a small Elite Force logo. You're right that for weapons they're great - you just need to trim off a bit at the bottom of the grips. You can also find these at some online spots.

I finally broke down and bought a BBI Sherman tank. Everything positive about it has been said already, however, I really like all the accessories, the opening engine and weathered paintjob. The tank really could have used an interior, but its still great nonetheless and well worth the price. I'm gald BBI chose to do the M4A5 variant as opposed to the M4A3 that 21c has done - it makes for some variety!

i was just wondering how difficult is it to find the 4 new BBI figs and the black Kiowa now in TRU? Am just wondering if they are now all over the place or whether supplies are still sporadic?

Both the TRUs in my area still have varying numbers of the new modern figures and at least one still had a couple Kiowas. I know that these are restocks and not left over from the first wave. Consequently, I would not say that these figures are sporadic in distribution... Both the stores in my area got (and then restocked) the modern figures and the Kiowas. I have also come across them at random stops at TRUs elsewhere in California. The stores in my area never got the first wave of WWII infantry figures, so I am inclined to think that previous release was more sporadic than the Modern figures have been.

Thanks for the responce to my question tmanthegreat i was wondering if BBI/TRU had sorted the distribution probs that were seen with the WWII figs and it sounds like they have which is great and now if we could just get some new product!

STUKA wrote:picked up the BBI sniper today at a TRU and they had the older heavy weapons sets on clearance for $3.78
sniper is very nice and well worth the $4.99 price tag.
only you have to force his hands to hold the weapons.
Stuka or anyone-
What "heavy weapon sets" are you referring to?

I found the BBI Weapons (modern MP5, M4 w/grenade launcher, M14, sniper rifle, hand guns, grenades, shotgun, green grenade launcher, etc) for 2.48 each

Stuka or anyone else - I would be willing to trade the weapon sets I found for the newer weapon sets

How well do the 21st heads work with the BBI figures? I need pilots for my 21st Cobra, and the ones on Bad Cat should do the trick provided I can do a couple head swaps.

I just got my first BBI figs, the US paras but haven't opened any of them up yet. My question is, do the BBI figs come with stands? Is there one behind the chutes or something that I'm missing? And if they don't, can you buy some somewhere cause I would think posing would be difficult.

My D-Day infantry set from Bad Cat should be arriving soon. I'm really pleased with the looks of the BBI figs But I wish they would have given the airborne the proper 30 cal. mg and not the 50 cal.

As for TRU, my local store had Elite Force stuff in spades before I started collecting. I went in there the other day and the whole section is gone. :?

The BBI figures do not have stands, unfortunantly. This sort of limits their poseability as you have to keep the figure ballanced. One solution, however, it to attach a 21c stand to the BBI figure using some sort of sticky tack or glue.

I see, thanks. I was hoping maybe one was hiding out behind some other stuff in the package lol. Weird that they wouldn't include one.

STANDS

:D Just take your trusty old Dremmel and make a hole in the figures heel. Insert the stand. Bob
