I don't understand why so many board members want to see russian troops and armor getting made. I think british tanks and troops are a cool idea, but russian - I don't know. I wouldn't buy it, but somehow I can't explain why. I think I'm simply not interested in anything russian. I didn't like any of their uniforms and ground vehicles.
russians
1) Open up the Eastern front - we already have plenty of ETO.
2) The T-34 was perhaps the greatest all around tank of the war.
3) We have plenty of Germans, many in winter gear, so some other targets would be great.
4) Greatest tank battle ever.
5) Russian weapons and gear were quite interesting - the Sniper's coveralls, the Tokarev assault rifle, sub-machine guns...
All that and they outfitted many more soldiers than any other country..by far.

I'm with Digger. German stuff is overloading all classes. Give us a break and lets see some of the important Riskie issues from WW2. If we can have it in 1/6, w hy not 1/18.
Mine is a fair example of a 1941,42 T-34:

Give me allowance because I have just unpacked it and it just joined my "dust collector" shelf awaiting cutting, painting, adding accessories.

Well it looks to be the Deuce will win, but I won't count out the T-34. Other than those I don't think any others will break out to win by next Monday.
So I have been toying around with some ideas and also need some help.
First what would you guys say to some interchangeable parts? Take the CCKW Deuce for example, cab, bed, etc would be removable. That way I could make say the CCKW352 (close cab short wheel base) and the CCKW353 (open cab long wheel base). Plus to customize further have the close cab MG ring adaptable with a cut out. Maybe I could even add another cab into the mix like an AFKWX cab-over version. I might be able to do something like this with the T-34 also. What you think?
Also TTT could help me with my questions and maybe some others also. How many different version are there of the Deuce? Like CCKW353 and M35? And what era are they from? Mainly looking for any cab or cargo variations, so the tipper, fuel, water, fire, etc you can leave out. Just trying to get a jump on the next poll for version. Maybe all the other variations like tipper, fuel, water, etc will come later.
That covers the Deuce, so here are the main variations of the T-34 also. In case the T-34 wins. If I have left something off that you think is important, please let me know. The first two I could combined into one package and possible the last two.
T-34/76 Model 1940
76.2mm L-11 L/30.3 gun
possible rear MG
rubber tires around disc wheels
T-34/76 Model 1941
76.2mm F-34 L/40 gun
steel wheels
T-34/76 Model 1942/43
hexagonal turret
wider mantlet
76.2mm F-34 L/40 gun
hull MG ball mantlet
external jettisonable fuel tanks
T-34/85 Model 1944
larger redesigned turret
85mm ZIS S-53 L/51.5 gun
Thanks again for all the help guys.

funny, i dont know what any of them are...
except the T-34, and i just watched discovery channel on that a few days ago.
tough tank. so they say. at least teh doctors on the subject were very excitable about it, all of em smilin and just grinning ear to ear "you CANT take out a TIGER tank with a T-34 cannon,..... but you CAN take out a tiger by RAMMING a T-34 STRAIGHT INTO the tiger , effectively stopping it dead in its tracks! and the T-34 saunters off. "
got my vote
by sake of watching t.v. at the right time, and not knowing what the conteders are

I went with the T-34/76. Although I collect mainly 32X stuff, I have all of the XD WWII vehicles except for the Hanomag, Pnzr IV, and US halftrack. I would've bought a Pnzr IV but they never showed up in my area. Well, except for 1 but someone bought it before I could get it to Kamikaze.
I would buy a T-34 if they made an XD version - and 3 if they made it in 32X.
