Quixote511 did you find the Avenger in Ohio? Still no sign of the Avenger or the Mig 15 in the north coast area of the state.

Thanx Ski---it's well worth the wait.

Ograval----I am south of Dayton, Loraine is up by Cleveland isn't it? PM if you would like some assistance getting one.

Plus, I found the 32x Stuka while I was there. It was the Med. camo version so I passed on it. It was tough to do; I put it down in the check out line. I am going to wait for the green on green since it's my fav. Though, if anybody finds the 32x Corsair around here, let me know.

I haven't seen a TBM in D/FW for a while.
When they first came out the were all over, but I have yet to see one in the XD section.
What happened?

Out of the 6 walmarts I frequent, only one had the Avengers listed on the stock sheet, only that one got a box of four, and absolutely none have been stocked or restocked.

Is this a production run of 25,000, 5,000 or...........

I'd be curious to know how many got produced as I haven't spotted not-a-one in Northern, CA . I was lucky enough to get the only one that I have while on a business trip in Southern, CA and even there the planes were hard to come by after visiting over 6 different WM's.

I'd be curious as to the same thing... I know they were spotted in Nor Cal in the Sacramento area and all over souther Ca. I recently found ONE at a Wal Mart in Fresno, but the box and plane were in bad shape... I got my plane in Bakersfield while on a road trip. It really seems like they went everywhere else with boardmembers in very remote places finding 8 at a time. It kind of shook me up and doesn't spell well for future 1:18 releases arriving anytime soon. 32x stuff sells far better in my area for some reason - the new Stukas and Corsairs are all but gone!

Well, if it is being produced at the same rate as planes in the past, we should be looking at 2500 per scheme. This is just an assumption though....

I recall the 2500 number being correct for the Avenger. This stuck in my mind since TKO mentioned that the Flight 19 tail numbers were going to be divided within the production run. Meaning only 500 of each. :?

I wouldn't exactly say the have been found "everywhere" in So-Cal. I go to the WM in Temecula and Lake Elsinore nearly every day and no Avengers. Very little 21st stuff at all. They didn't get their first desert Stuka until a couple of weeks ago.

The newer box that contains the Avenger is large enough to fit other oversized birds. The price point is enough to perhaps look at other subjetcs. If the sales at the stores hold true and 21st & WM can see that there is support from fans at a 69.00 price point I think we will see more things that we have always wished for. I am excited about the present but I am dying to know the future!

I want to see a 1/18 B-25 someday offered.

They should do at least one bomber. Just because!
It would be amazing.

(First post -huzzah!) 8)

Sorry this took forever, but here goes:

I finally got an Avenger at the WalMart in Augusta, ME, about 2 weeks go. They had at least 7 more. (Yes, I live north of Boston; but not THAT far north. I stumbled into the store on vacation. NONE of the nearby stores have 'em...)

I checked a couple of the Walmarts here in Columbus Ohio for the avenger. And to my surprise. NOTHING!!! Actually I will be more surprised when (if) something does show up.

...and he fits in there quite nicely! 21c included some nice details in that hard to reach spot like the radio equipment, the machine gun and the flare chutes, now if only they included a seat

It is also possible to wedge the 3rd crewman up besides the radio equipment behind the pilot, in the little space on the right side of the aircraft. He then kind of polks up, looking out of the mid section of the cockpit.
