This has come up before and I'm of the opinion that (like other scales) there is so much I want done b/f they branch out. WWII Russians & Brits aren't even really represented. Waffen, DAK, etc..
Outside of a WWI bird I would put almost anything else behind a whole bunch more WWII or modern..just my preference.

I don't know about figures or armor, but I do believe a DR7 and a nice Spad with the Hat in the Ring would be cool to see in XD.

There is such a vast area of WW2 vehicles that 21C can be kept busy for the next 20 or 30 years.

The whole idea of Russian, British, Italian and Japanese ground vehicles can be covered without going to another era.

I'd love to see WW1 AC but the WW1 AC were almost all fabric over a wood frame. Plastic just wouldn't look the same, Wasn't the Albatros the only popular all metal AC? or am I thinking of another AC? I'm not an AC guy, but if you're going to do 1/18 in WW1, don't forget those early tanks. They would be awesome. The Brit male and female giants and the Renault tankette we used and the German monsters?

I'd sure like to see some Russian armor, in 1/18. Right now all we have is the T-34 but that is in 1/6?.......just a coindickie that I have the 1/6 T-34 in the mail to me as we speak.

Another Era

Rather than another era I'd like to see a small Japanese tank to go with the figures. Bob

As much as I would like to see them branch out, as others say there is too much ground they could still cover in WWII. I see that as where most of their focus will stay. Would be nice to see a few more Vietnam figures get into the mix soon  .

And I think BBi does a fairly good job of supplying the modern market.

Before they do other era's, I hope to see them flesh out the ones they are currently doing. They have some really cool prototypes that have been done but never released. I for one would love to see a whole DAK and Desert Rat series, Soviets, Commonwealth (Not just brits, but Aussies, Kiwi's, Canadians, Indian, etc...) German Allies. And then there is the Vietnam Stuff, That PBR is still at the top of my list. That thing is too cool. There were also some more buildings that were never relesed. More WWII buildings, and even some Vietnam Hooches, bridges, Tower, fortifications, etc..., You could even use the grass huts for south Pacific Japanese Huts. There is so much more to do in these era's, while I'd love to see WWI and other conflicts, I think that might sidetrack them from this stuff.

Speaking of crossover items:

In VN, in our AO, there were several small bridges that were guarded by blockhouses built during the French colony days. These buildings were a cross between a large pillbox and a small German flak tower. They could be both and throw in a Japanese strong point bunker anywhere in the Philipines.

I'm a big fan of forts and pillboxs from WW2. I've explored pillboxes around the NY harbour and San Francisco overlooking the Golden Gate that held everything from mg's up to the "disappearing 12" monster guns". I even almost got in some serious trouble on Wake Island, leaving the airport to explore Japanese and American pillboxes still on the beaches, I mean, when are you going to be able to explore on Wake Island. We landed and they took us on a small bus to get some chow and the road made a detour through the weeds around the skelton of a Zero shot down in WW2. Making a detrour around the Zero was easier than moving the Zero. True story.

I'd love it, if 21C made a generic pillbox or flak tower.
