Short review on the FOV Zundapp KS 750 motorcycle /Sidecar

Post by FETCO » Thu Oct 14, 2004 11:34 am

Boy this one has some great detail, Lots of extras to stow in the trailer. One thing you have to watch for is mounting the driver. The side car rider fits really well but the driver takes some time. The leg & the toe of the boot has to be bent down to get past the sidecar bracket and under the engine head, so the boot is on the foot-peg. The legs are soft so bending was not hard. The hands fit well to the handlebars although turning the forks is restricted. There are lots of detail parts added on that are easy to snap off if you don't hold it just right when working on assembly. The shovel blade bracket on the side of the sidecar came off but a little glue fixed that. The racks for the boxes mounted on the sidecar are good but a drop of rubber cement will keep them from falling off.
FOV packed this in a box the same size as the Jeeps and it's quite a job to get everything out without ripping the box. There is no base as with other FOV items but the name plate is included. All in all very nice and something thats been missing from from the 1/32 scale. Tom C (fetco)

Thanks for the review Tom. I've been passing on the repaints but this is definitely going to be a must have.
