Interesting Comparison in 1/32 Scale Airplanes

Post by Coreyeagle48 » Sun Aug 27, 2006 3:10 pm

Just how big is a modern fighter plane.

I picked up this New Bright Electronic F-14 really cheap and am going to paint and customize it. Easier than building one. I picked it up because it is about 1/32 scale and I thought was a good yard sale find. I already gutted the electronics out of the airplane.

I parked it next to my custom B-25 and took a couple shots. Amazing how big modern fighters are compared to World War II aircraft. Thought it was a neat comparison

See the F-14/B-25 comparison folder

i've always been amazed at how big airplanes are period. Compare a WWII fighter to a tank; they look like they're different scales, when in fact they are the same. Aircraft are very big in general, a planes like the Avenger or modern jets really are surprisingly large.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

the F-16 is over scale....bah. It's 1/17. Like comparing apples and oranges.
