Guys-
Thought some of you might like to see this:
21st Century Toys is selling off older surplus items at the online yahoo store site. Most of it is 1:6th stuff but there are some vietnam 1:18 figs still sitting around. Also I have been told that more items might be added as they are in the process of cleaning out the old surplus from the store room. Might be worth checking out the next few days.
Here's what you need to do.
log on to:
http://21ct-store.stores.yahoo.net/
then click on the "21st Century Toys Surplus Store" in the black text located on the top left side of the page. That should display the items that are for sale.
I think I am going to get some of the nam guys for 1.00 each!

I've got some deep deep deep pockets for it if they do.....

So far what you see is what you get... But you never know! I have seen the surplus myself... I think there might be more stuff over the next few days. Just keep checking back. Glad you got some of the xtra VN figs! I got some too.

Not that I question your logic. I had a similar idea

THIS IS AWESOME!!!! My orders in. Very hard not to just hog all the Vietnam figures, but wanted to make sure there was plenty for everyone. Now if some NVAs would just show up, I would be in heaven. Way to go, 21C!!!!

For clarification, these were offered by the fan club. They are the platoon leader and Mutt Driver both with M48 Tanker helmets. They were marketed as two tankers. They came in sealed baggies and cost more than a buck a piece.
I still have a couple sets, but this is a great way of adding drivers to the new Walmart M48s that came out.

I hope you guys DID NOT HOG all the Viet Nam figures
I just placed an order for some and hopefully it will go through. This is great that 21c is selling off their surplus and I hope that they list more items and remove the ones that have sold out/ I've never ordered anything directly from 21c, so how is their shipping service?
Hopefully I'll have a few new additions to my Viet Nam troops

Wish they would have had the Huey helmet over the tanker one. I need copilots and door gunners for my Hueys. Heres to hope for them to show up later. Anyway I picked up a few of both. Not a bad price for a $1.

Look at the second Vietnam figure with the booney hat...enlarge it and I believe that is the helicopter helmet laying beside him. If it is, hopefully it will come with that particular one.

I ordered a few of both, so I have to wait and see. I think they are both the tanker helmet though.

MK, when did the fan club offer take place and are you referring to Area21? (Just trying to make sure I'm a member of the right thing when the next batch of fan club only stuff (please please please!) might happen).

I want that one man 'hovercraft' that was shown at ToyFair a few years ago. Shown once, then never seen again.

That offer was a few years ago, long before Area21 was ever created.

If I remember correctly, in order to buy those I had to call the fan club directly. I also was able pick up a couple Series 1 Panther Drivers and Sherman Drivers for about $5.00 each the same way. Those were the days...
...Anyways, I am sure these are the same ones. The Mutt Driver comes with his boonie hat, rifle, posed arms, stand and tanker helmet. The other is the Platoon Leader's head on the original 'nam tanker body with boonie hat, stand and tanker helmet. At $1.00 each and with the M48s at Walmart (none of mine

) this is a great deal all around!
