I would personally love to see a series of Russian troops that mimic the 32x soldiers, giving us a range of infantry, an officer, a machine-gunner and a female figure. They could be sold as a set, like the current Marines, Japanese, BoB, or OMG figures :)

I like either the set idea, or just a female figure 8)

None of the above.

A helo pilotor three for the Black Shark and Hind duo, Natalia Sermenyova from the James Bond film (movie) Goldeneye, Vassili Zaitsev's girlfriend Tania Chernova as portrayed by Rachek Weisz in "Enemy at the gates", Yuri Gagarin and a range of figures for a modern Motorized Infantry Battalion... not forgetting the Frontal Aviation MiG and Sukhoi crews...

Of course, then we'll need the 'Akula, Hind, Sputnik and various IFVs, APCs, MBTs and jets to display them with! :D :D :D

All in 1/18th of course, like the XD Snakes and Hogs etc... :D

Voted for Infantry; I'm all about the army-builders (especially if I could only pick one :P ) A Tokarev M1940 I think would be my weapon of choice, just so damn cool and ahead of its time.

I'm with Digger on a base unit for Army building, but a T-34 would rock.

Hadn't thought about modern Russians. Have to leave that up to BBI perhaps? They don't really make the Opfor for some reason and have pretty much focused on the US version of the story so who knows.

Hind, T-72, BMP1 or 2, crew, troops, Flanker, Gaz, Ural Truck..

Count me in! :-D

Yup, that be him. :? Mebbe I shoulda put an extra comma in there so y'all knew the "Yuri Gagarin" and "a range of figures" were two seperate objects... but I just can't help myself.

"Hi, my name is Jeff and I'm a Punctuation Perfectionist".
See "Eats, Shoots and Leaves: the zero-tolerance approach to punctuation" by Lynne Truss for more details...

Besides, like all early space visitors - both American and Soviet - he was a member of the armed forces (a Major, I think?), so if we cannot have comrade Gagarin, how about an FA Pilot who just happens to look like him? Now, how big was that 1/18th Vostok going to end up again?

If they can do an Avenger pilot that somewhat resembles George Bush Sr. then I think they can do a Soviet trooper that resembles Yuri. :-)

As long as it has wings and a spinny-thingy (or two) I'd buy it.

Cool thing about the T-34 is that re-paints or customs could be done for the Korean war and Vietnam.

The North Koreans wore what were essentially the same helmets that the Soviet crews used in WWII so a little head and helmet swapping and wha-la.

I would love to see the Maxim and crew.

I also would not complain about ANY russian troops. I have been waiting patiently and figure someone will get around to them eventually. If they ever get around to making Soviets, they will be sure to make a T-34. I just hope its not the 85 like FOV made all of theirs. I would love to see a KV-1 or 2 and of course the JS-2.
