Yes I did. It will go in, trust me. Mine made a loud snapping noise when it went in. It was real tight! And Andrew, No, I don't think I will be able to get the wings off............

Hey guys,
Hworth just sent me a REALLY good full color profile of Killer. Bbi kept it damn accurate! Check it out here in the Profile Album. I can see why the factory missed the "Q", hehehehe. You're the man Harry!

Hey teamski great profile on "Killer" I'll have to make a copy of that and put it next to my Mustang (I have two now). I re-did my first one in the 357th colors but I ordered another one leaving it in the markings of "Killer" because I love how BBI did the paint job, just couldnt resist! I took a look at your website with the comparisons of the BBI Mustang and the 21st Century Mustang and all I can say it WOW what a difference between the two. BBI beat 21st hands down. I also liked your pilot "conversation" images. But I have to say this teamski I dont think you would EVER have saw the Luftwaffa pilots having a conversation with U.S pilots, but it was funny as hell I have to say that.

I'm happy you liked them. You're actually the first person to mention them.
I thought it would be funny to do. I always had the Corsair and P-38 pilots sitting on the top of my monitor. I thought it would be interesting to create a bit of story of a pilot BSing a dogfight and having everybody eventually walk out.
Thank Hworth18 for the profile......

I spent Friday going to all five of the KC mtero TRU looking for the BBI Sherman. Didn't find one but found only one Mustang in all the stores. The plane looked to narrow at first but compared to the XD version I guess it is okay. But the figure looks pretty bad to me. His hat looks to be sitting on top of his hair instead of over it.

Hey grock the BBI Mustang looked too narrow to you? Thats interesting because I've compared my BBI Mustang to some factory blueprints of the real thing and have also compared the BBI Mustang to some actual photos of the real thing and save for the landing gear and some minor details left out the BBI Mustang is dead on accurate, unlike the 21st Century Mustang. On another note..............
I sold my first BBI Mustang which was my repaint version. I just wasnt happy with the end result so I sold it. I promise you this I will never mess with my second BBI Mustang which has the markings that I should have left on my first one. I know stupid mistake on my part but I tried. Now I hope that BBI comes out with another one with different markings OR 21st releases their new-tooled Mustang which I have YET to see or hear any further details about. Hell I'm still wondering when they will release their 1/18th Avenger. What the heck is the holdup anyway? Anyone have any clue?

I broke mine doing that!!! I'm surprised you didn't.......... Just joking of course!! Happy you got it sorted. Now you need to relocate the fuel tank pylons.

Eh, I give you one week before you change your mind and pull out a razerblade and glue..........nomo4me wrote:Mine arrived yesterday. Man, am I pleased. Being lazy, I've decided to pretend that my plane's aircrew did a custom mount for the tanks via one of the .50's ejection ports.

I found one at Toys R Us near me today! YAY! Awesome. I was surprised at how small the packaging is. At first I wasn't sure if it was the right scale (when seeing it froma distance). It's gorgeous! Amazing plane. I'll be customizing it as well, adding the Q part, moving the pylons, breaking the flap center tab, etc in time. Very beautiful. I'm going to hang it right next to Lou IV. Even though there's a major quality and detail difference... they look good together (paint jobs). The price was $39.99.
I like the way they packaged the plane, with the plastic bags covering the props and the wings to protect them from scratches. That was a good idea. And using those clear smlal rubber bands is better than twisty ties as to not make scratches. My one complaint is that the antenna wire is so tight that it wants to keep the cockpit open a hair. So I have to carefully slide it all the way forward and hold it for a sec... then it stays in place until I bump the plane.

I'm also glad to hear some are starting to find BBI's masterpeice Mustang, thats what I call it now days. I still have to add one or two missing things to mine and then its done but otherwise its the centerpeice of my Mustang collection.
I talked to Julie at Bad Cat and we had a discussion on whether BBI will release another Mustang and we both agreed that it would be a big mistake if they didnt. If and when they do I would like to see more Mustangs from the over looked 354th Fighter Group. Namely Mustangs like "Arsons Reward", "Short Fuse Sally" just to name a few that comes to mind. This group was the first to fly the Mustang in combat and had more kills in the air then ANY fighter group in the ETO but yet all the recognition goes to fighter groups like the 357th, 352nd and 56th. Why because the 354th was part of the 9th AF and not the 8th. Thats just plain wrong in my book.
So hopefully BBI follows up with another Mustang or maybe just maybe follow up with an F6F Hellcat.
Just my thoughts.

found in SoCal TRU
I also just picked up one today at the Mission Viejo TRU!!! great find for $40. but it was the only one there. and i went there 2 weeks ago.
since billgiff found a sherman in a TRU maybe more will start showing up.
the waiting for it to hit the shelves sucks, but it sure beats paying for shipping and the fact you get to see it before you buy it
and now that i do see it i wish they could put the same amount of detail in the armor as they do in the aircraft

It is the dang toy companies that have sometimes made me want to stop collecting toys!!!
