Time flies when you're having fun
It really does fly. i remember back in the fall of 2000 when i was just cruising through TRU looking for a gift when I saw the XD display. I was blown away. I remember wishing they ahd them when I was a kid. Since I wasn't a kid but a grown up kid with a few creidt cards, I grabbed one each of the P-51, White 12, Sherman, Panther, Jeep, Kubelwagen, and every figure. And it's snowballed since then!

Cool picture! The ME-109E is a great plane, always one of the better ones in the line, in my opinion. And to think it came out origionally with the P-51! Kind of funny but all those in the picture have a yellow engine cowling and a somewhat uniform look.
The 109 was the first XD plane I saw at TRU and the "White 12" plane is still my favorite paint scheme with that make, though Galland's plane looks great. Back in fall of 2000, I just went into the military isle, looking for GI Joe, and just about died when I saw a 1:18 scale Messerschmitt! Then I saw the P-51, and walked out with that one first, getting the 109 a few weeks later. I held back on the other origional vehicles and figures, but over time have acquired multiples of the S1 soldiers, the Jeep and Kubelwagon, plus a variant of the Sherman.

I had two of them, traded one and the other one is still in it's box buried undernieth a wall of other XD/bbi planes. Now that is something I oughta take a picture of.............p51 wrote:One Me-109 missing though! The Winter ME-109... Awesome photo though
I don't know either. To be honest, If the others show here, I would get them only on sale. The Galland 109 was different. I kinda hope 21st does the winter scheme again on the 109G. Putting it on an E model stretched it a bit too far........aferguson wrote:There are three missing: winter, black and desert.
Hey Ski, i thought you were done with repaints? I don't know WHAT to believe any more..
The 3 planes just happened to by lying around the room and I took a shot of them. Now to pack 2 of them away.
