Admiral Toys Information

Post by der Vogelfänger » Thu Aug 03, 2006 2:10 am

Jason,

Thanks for the updates!

My dream regarding the upcoming "two":

F-14

F-4

What a surprise, not my usual Luftwaffe requests, BUT, these airplanes speak for themselves. 8)

Whatever the "two" turn out to be, they will be welcomed.

Hi Jason,

Any hint as to what's to come in the 1:72 tank line?

Boyx30, I love WWI aircraft. I know a friend of ours, a fellow manufacturer that got pretty far on a WWI aircraft, maybe I can convince him to continue with development, or at least give it to Admiral Toys Incorporated. You never know, this is my new version of wait and see. Let me answer your next question: No, I cannot tell you what airplane.

Morian Miner, customs has a very important job, especially in the times we live in. However, I think a container of plastic toys should not be held up for over 3 weeks! But, safety should come before pleasure (I should write for Trojan).

VMF115, thank you for the message. We try pretty hard around here to pay attention to the concerns of our customers. We would be nothing without you. Thank you for your patience. We are learning with every step. But with each step we take, we bring along with us the knowledge that our customers make us who we are.

VMF115, I can give you a hint of what is coming next year. We will have a couple of aircraft in 1:18 and a couple of tanks/guns/vehicles in 1:72 scales. The aircraft (which I am assuming you are most interested in) are all new to this market. No company has manufactured them before. You will be surprised because they are not your standard sure sale items. We will take a risk or two this coming year. I think there are plenty of P-51s, F-4Us and the like, available to the market. We just might go out on a branch and offer you some aircraft that would not be manufactured by the others. We are not in the business of stepping on other’s toes, and would like to produce aircraft that would not be on their list of planes to manufacture. I can say that two of these aircraft are well on their way to production. You will learn more about these aircraft in the next couple of months. Sorry, but this is all I can say.

Regards,
Jason
I got a feeling one is an F-20 Tigershark and the other is an F-8 Crusader.
Those are not the aircraft I am Interested in, but they would look nice if they where made. :D :D :D :D :D :D

There's plenty of us here in TX who can get Jason into some of the best steakhouses in the country and he wouldn't even have to board a plane.

Shiner, Jason?

Sounds great Jason. Keep up the good work. Will you be going to the Wings over Houston airshow this year?
Thanks,

Thank you Jason for having the guts to make a few of the lesser known type of aircraft. We all are looking forward to the 262 and whatever other surprises you might have in store for us.

I can't wait to hear what the upcoming releases will be. Admiral toys is a great company. I hope that you have some things up your sleves like an A-10, F-14, F-15. A-4, Harrier amongst many others. Mayby someday a Hind D would be cool as well. Keep up the great work.

How about a X-15 and small civil one ,like a Cherokee or somthing-now these would sell like hotcakes-the X-15 to any aviationbuff, and a Cherokee that would include collectors of 1:18 diecast cars in a way that
big fighters do not. perhaps. i think. 8)
I would personally like these choises very much...

Jason or Mr. Santa Clause,
I am hoping for any one of these
F-14, F-15 C or E, F-18 Super Hornet or simply an F-18C with more detail , Mig-29, Su-27 and P-61
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!

Interesting however I think your list above would qualify as "standard sure sales items"

I would be curious to know if the new plane sales risk is civilian. Be so cool to have some '30's trophy racers.

Personally I wouldn't buy a Cessna!

I think a jet of any type is going to be a winner in sales. Unless it's a trainer jet, that might not have any non online retail appeal.

Your friend with the WW1 plane, it's likely a Fokker or Camel? 1/18? Get it! Trade some stock hehe.

On a side note, I'm curious about the investment $$$ to start AT, and wheter it was to set up shop or majority $$$ to procure mold and production staff.

Big business over in China with plastics. Are the molds still hand made or likely all CAD designed?

Dave

With the exemption of the f-18 none of them are being made, and those are the ones I am interested in.
Hum… could it be a F-100?

i`ve just improved my F86,that You could benefit from:I split the mainwheels and pushed the axle from the wheel, put the axle thru the wheel from the inside, and fixed the axle on the oleo, thus having a wheel turning on an axle, instead of a wheel and axle turning in the oleo.
the result is much less "shimmy" and better alignment, try it ;it should be an easy thing to change this procedure in the factory...it improves the quality of Your model immensly, when wheels turn easy, and aligns with the aircraft centerline......

Hey Jason how about an F-14 Tomcat? This is my all time favorite Jet so hopefully Admiral toys will make one in the future.

That is all that we want, an F-14 would be the golden nugget of the 1:18th scale.

i think a F-4 would be the best selling large jet fighter in 1/18 scale around the world
it has out lasted most other jets in service around the world.
the only plane to give it a run for its money was the F-104 :D which Italy just retired this year.

I just had to chime in here and let all here know how great Admiral Toy's Customer Service, and Jason are. I had some minor problems, nothing earth shattering, with my Jolly Roger, and each time, Jason and his crew, jumped right in and made things "right" again. I have never had such good service as this in many years. It seems that as company's grow bigger, their Customer Service goes out the door. Not in this case, Jason "Thank You" for being there and making this hobby fun again.

I've been lobbying for an A-10 for years and I'd still like to see it. But an F-4 is a must have as well.
