I got word that a member spotted a bunch near Indianapolis, IN. Not to many ports in that neck of the woods...

What about military bases? Is that still holding true or just a fluke?
Same for those sightings in Oklahoma. Its the fact that these have gotten all across the country and completely bypassed some areas in between that really buggs me the most.

Manhatten has a large port... I hope we see them in Long Island soon!

Ports and main distribution areas make sence, we need to wait a bit more to see how the whole thing works.

Hit 5 more WM in the West and SW portion of Houston today. Still no Avengers yet. It seems that alot of the stores in the Houston area have just recently stocked or restocked with more Corsairs, Stukas, and Mustangs. I hope I don't have to wait for them to sell before the Avengers show up.

Checked several in the Washington DC metro area and a little beyond over this past weekend, including the following: Germantown, Laurel, Mt Airy, Frederick x 2, and Hagerstown, with not a single sighting. I'll be checking the local stores throughout the week, and will advise if I'm able to locate any Avengers. I've got a friend back in Ca that picked up 3 for me and depending on what I'm able to locate around here, I'd be happy to sell 1-2 at actual cost + shipping if some folks are unable to find these.

Regards.
Todd

I was told by the department manger that WM is getting a whole new selection of toys and will have them out by the end of next week, She had no Idea if any of them are going to be Avengers, or if any will be 21st toys she says that toy line is not a strong seller in the town I live in,.

Something I did tonight with my F-18 holes. I used plumbers epoxy and light ghost gray

I have used Testors modelers putty with good luck. The pencil erasers are a great idea. How did you think of that? And do you know what color paint the Atlantic version of the Avenger uses?

I figured erasers would be easy to cut,
I think painting it will be tricky, not sure what to use

Good idea on the pencil erasers! I used those on to fill the even more horrid screw holes on the Hasbro Star Wars ARC-170 fighter that was released last year.

Anyway, if any of you guys in the Hampton Roads area are going this week to score one for yourselves, would you mind grabbing one for me? I would be glad to meet you somewhere down there on Saturday to make the swap, payment in cash of course.

Yeah, I am paranoid that I'm going to miss out. After all, its only been what, three years of anticipation?! (I can't wait any longer!!!)

Thanks fellas!

My local wally world has 8 planes! But they have not put them out yet and they are not sure when they will be. Talk about frustration. They are so near yet so far
Could not think of anything to put here.

Andy,
Glad you were able to put your hands on a couple. Just curious how many were left. That would give me an idea how many they sold the first day on the shelf! They started with eight!

Also, if anybody knows where the little antenna is supposed to mount will you pleeeeez post a picture of it on the plane!

Thanks,
Bob

Alright guys, I travel about 3K a month on business and we have facilities in Denton and Mckinney TX (and going to Memphis, Little Rock, KC, OKC, and Witchita). I've sold my lot of planes on ebay (enough to cover my drive back to Gainesville, and to cover buying my own plane) and I saw 8 of these sitting on the shelves in McAlister OK. I'll be heading back to TX probably about the 2nd week of Sept and will be going through McAlester when I come back your way
WM thanks for the offer! If my hunt shows up nothing in the next week or so I will be PM you on this offer come Sept. I will be heading for vacation the end of next week so I would like to have a plan of action while I am gone and can not continue looking here in DFW.

They had 4 left after I bought the 2. I probably would have missed them if you had not told me where to look. Thanks again :D
