BOB 2?

Post by tkjaer21 » Sat Jul 29, 2006 7:57 pm

When was the BOBII Series released? I have just now started seeing these. Too bad the Sgt. Rode figure had his hedset stolen out of the package at my local Wal-Mart. Should I get him anyway or are there more of this series to come?

You should hopefully see more of these. At least 2-3 of the Wal Marts in my area are full of these figures. I like the removable hats on both Rhode and Kedanzi, and the cammo pattern on the Rhode figure is pretty cool as well!

Are they full "again" after the initial wave cleared out, or have they really never vanished like they did in many AO's?

We are flush with S2 and S3 japanese and OMGs. Appears to be the only thing WM could get after all the BOB II's were wiped out.

Several of the WM's in my area still have quite a few BOB2 figures available including "Rhode" and "Kenzai". They're not hard to find as yet. :D

I have personally bought most of what I could find as far as tank crew. Both of these guys have a lot of potential and are a bargin.

Hi Ogravl! Did any of those stores have any Japanese or OMG figures? Or any vehicles? Trying to convince the wife into going out for breakfast, so if not, I'll try to talk her into going towards Montrose... :D

Elyria had a few. I was looking for the new 32X play sets and the Bunker Hill Corsiar and the Avenger. So I did not look to close at the figs sorry.

Tinman, I was in Ithaca this past weekend and no BOB 2. All walmart had were OMG and Japanese figures. I'm wondering if the BOB 2 will ever show up in the north east?

BOB2 figs are in the N.E. I picked up a few on Eastern Long Island, and the WM in Mohegan Lake in Westchester had some...dunno if NY is worse than any other locale, but scalpers make these things like leprechauns --- sneeze or blink, & they've disappeared...best of luck in the hunt...

BoB 2

Post by digger » Wed Aug 02, 2006 6:38 am

I scored BoB2 when they first arrived at Goodstuff - all 9 figs for $39. I'm sure even they realized this was absurd as they have now raised the price to over $50 I believe.
Normandy, if you need USMC S1-S2 or BoB2 PM me and I can probably give you WM prices and shipping b/w us is nothing.

I got the BOB2 figures at the Centereach store, I snatched up what they had (an incomplete set plus one duplicate)...the USMC figures came & went in a hurry a few months back, but they did indeed show up...the Middle Island location also gets figs sometimes, but yeah, OMG & Imperial Marines overstayed their welcome...BTW, the Centereach WM got the new Avengers in today, 7 left on the shelf as of this morning...

I found two freshly opened cases of these figures at a store here in central California. Nice figures, but I've got all I need and I really wish the Wal Mart distribution system in my area would send these things east so we could perhaps get an Avenger or two.

That's a little far or else I would call for a Centone, TTT, Moth & Lightning road trip. At least they made it to NY in a hurry.

Digger, Thanks for the offer. Let me check out the Centereach walmart to see if they have any of the figs and the AVENGER.
There is an 82 year old man, who has been looking forward to the release of the Avenger more then most of us. My Father inlaw served in the Pacific and flew in TBM's. So I think this weekend I'll Take a run out East.
Currahee and Digger, Thanks so much for the intel.
I'll let you know what I find, Normandy.

BoB 2 is on the Island..........

Post by normandy » Fri Aug 25, 2006 3:02 pm

I found some BoB 2 figures (not many) today in the Westbury, L.I. walmart.
So they are around but no Avenger.
These series 2 figs are great, just need 21st to make more of them and maybe a set of new head sculpts like Verlindin. :D
