like someone else said there should be a small hole on the upper left forward wingtip if model is to scale. i hope they did better then the Zeros CBs on BBi plane
POST AVENGER FINDS AND DISCUSSION HERE!
It is the pilot that sticks up on the top of the Port side wing near the very edge of the wing tip. It should be also positioned at about a 45 degree angle off from the wing. (google Avenger and click on the images tab, you should start to see many pictures of the avenger for reference)
The Pilot tube was not going to be included with the model for a while. (typically these parts are rubber and don't stay too crisp and true to form. In the case of the avenger and how this part is supposed to be positioned it would have looked bad. The decision was made and molds for the AC were built without a hole or even the tube itself. In the last minute of the project 21st decided the part should at least be provided for those with hobby skills and attention to detail. So mainstream prople get a clean wing with no hole. Fans with skill simply need to carefully cut a hole in the top wing, paint and insert the pilot tube. I am just happy that we get the option to use it if we want.
I plan to simply use a sharp exacto knife. By simply rotating the blade and applying a little pressure, a nice little hole will start to form. From there I figure I will paint the tube and then epoxy or super glue the part in the wing at the proper angle. Anyone else have better ideas?

I think 21st century should work a little harder on their instruction sheet. A nine dollar Transformer toy comes with an instruction sheet that puts theirs to shame. I also think that instruction sheet should over emphasize the delicate nature of the toy. I can already see a lot of requests coming their way for broken parts.

TKO just posted about this. I have micro drill set that will do, whenever I see one. plane that is.KAGNEW wrote:wow! i don't know then, unless they forgot to drill it OR maybe its painted over.
Is there an optional screw lock down so when the wing is extended the extended play time won't stress the hinge?

It's not the $70,..... it's just finding one. I have hopes.....I just posted a mention that my closest Wally is loading up with 21C in all classes, where in the past, they had absolutely nada.
Hope springs eternal......and my only plane to date is a Stuka. An Atlantic Avenger will do me fine until Geroge Bush's Avenger comes out. That means THREE planes, for the big guy, wow, I'm speechless....
Yeas, that'll be the day, pilgrim.

I wonder why they did not plug those screw holes? I am looking at my 21st Century P-51 and F-104 which are right in front of me, and you can see they did a good job plugging the holes. I have to admit those holes really take away from the look of the Avenger model.

It's been a long road, but I am still in the game.

I'm really surprised as well, but as mentioned above, putty would work just fine for it, though. That plane just looks too damn cool!! I want mine!!! Great pictures!!
