Great Pics! I have to keep telling myself that they are real - not toyfair promo pictures. However, whats up with the open screw holes in the bottom picture? That isn't like 21c to do that; did they come seperately like on the P-51s? Still, the aircraft looks amazing!

Thanks for the pictures. The plane looks great. Is it hard to get one of the crew members in the ball turrent?

Tman asked... "whats up with the open screw holes in the bottom picture? That isn't like 21c to do that; did they come seperately like on the P-51s?"
I thought that was weird too, only the wings were seperate and they come with little screws to attach them. The screw holes are only on one side, and nothing to cap them off with, there is a total of 8 of them, and they're kinda big.
Sabrefan asked... "Is it hard to get one of the crew members in the ball turrent?"
the cover of the turret ball comes off, its a tight squeeze gettin' the figure in but not too hard.

Do all three figures look different? Could you snap a shot of all three together? One looks to be a Corsair Pilot mold. Thanks

Those screw holes are a bit distracting
Some plumbers putty and “light gray ghost?” paint could fix it

Plumber’s putty any hard where store has it, I always get the epoxy for plastic, the kind you work with your hands. As for the paint I have no idea what kind of paint code to use, I am guessing “testers acrylic Light gray ghost” but I could be wrong.

I'll pay $70 at Walmart when they can find the screw hole plugs. Otherwise, it's looks pretty dang sharp.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

Holy cow! Will probably be 2-3 months before they show up around here, but exciting news none the less. I know we all have different perspectives, but for an aircraft of this size and features I'd say $70 is a bargain. It's a must-have piece anyway for most of us.

Bellingham WA store still does not have the Avenger. Checked this morning with Toy Dept Manager and nothing on their stock list.

WM wants you going to the store so you are inclined to pick up some other more common items.
Good to hear all three figures can be put in or taken out - I thought we were predicting one guy would be static so that's cool.
And Tinman you are right that for the size and with 3 figs it is still a great deal, it's just odd to see the small retailers match WM on price. Good for them though, and us who don't have WM

I went back to Gainsville TX (initial spotting) last night. There are 3 figures (didn't see the third one initially). Detail looks good, paint looks good. Looks like someone else has already found one and posted pics and they are of the same paint scheme I picked up. Mine came to a hair over $75 with tax. None yet in Denton or Mckinney TX. Gainsville is about 10 miles from a WM distribution center so they're probably one of the first to get them. Price is high but good looking plane. I'm going to evilbay mine; taking the family to the beach this month and just had to sink $750 in the wifes car to get it ready for the trip. The bright side is I can point to ebay sales of 1:18 stuff and show my wife that my hobby pays for itself.

Oh man, this is terrible news! Now what can we b@#tch about around here?
I'm interested to see if we'll see the Flight 19 at Wally World.

Three seperate figures,... cool. I thought I read that the 3rd one was going to be a permanent part of the model.(?)
Good deal.
This is better than I expected.

Well, I won’t be buying all the flight 19 planes now, that’s for sure. I will buy one or two at that price but that’s it. Not that it’s not worth it but I seriously don’t think a ton of these are going to be moving off the shelves at those prices. I had one ordered at Bad Cat for less than that. I am wondering if the average Wal Mart buyer will be willing to pay that.

What do you guys think???
