New BBI Humvee

Post by jmd250 » Fri Dec 17, 2004 9:58 pm

I was surfing the web and I stubled across some pics of a new BBI Humvee. I don't know if someone else has mentioned this but its the first time I have seen it. It looks pretty good.

Dood.

It was mentioned before. Check out this thread. It's pretty damn accurate. There is a great picture of the real thing further down:

Was it ever determined that the 106mm recoiless was currently being used?

Something seems wrong the the way the 106 is set up in those Humvee pictures.
The 106mm is a "line of sight" weapon. It's not artillery firing over the front of the vehicle. Remember the "kill" zone behind the 106 is a triangle extending from the breech back 100 yards. It would not be good for other convoy vehicles to fire a 106 any other way except side to side.

I trained on and qualified Expert a 106mm mounted on the ground and from a Mutt. It was great. Also had alot of fun firing a 75mm from a mg mount on the ground. Some of you guys don't realize how much fun you can have blowing stuff up. Of course, it reduces the fun a little when people are shooting back. Hey, fun is where you find it.

I will get a few of these, just to use the 106mm's.

Here's a pic I found quite a while ago of a Spec-ops Humvee that looks identicle to the new bbi one except for the 106.

Thank you all for the extra info about this vehicle. I had thought it was too much of a fantasy vehicle, so I wasn't going to buy. Now that you've given me an education, though, I want one!
