The time will come soon when we who want an avenger will have 1, or 2; are we that lost in the wilderness that we allow the hair on our collective necks to bristle over this gossip.

And I'm no sweet talking, opra lovin peacemaker either; I just save the semi-hostile bs for work...

And by the way; I already believe I'll be one of the first to find one on the walmart shelves anyway. 21st realizes that Southerners deep down love military sh_t and therefore our chances are great with the upcoming new stuff

Someone asked if were were still trying to keep the pace of news items at about one every other day. The answer is yes we are trying to keep to that schedule as best as we can. We got a little behind due to the fact that 21st was in Hong Kong all last week to show off some new product to buyers.

Being that I am 2 states away from 21st HQ it makes it hard to go in a personally do the recon myself. I have a great relationship with 21st but they still have not given me a key!

I talked with 21st high command today and we have some more news on the way. I think we will try to have something up tomorrow mid-dayish.

AVENGERS.... I can smell em! they have to be close. I think this airplane wins the award for the most anticipated, most mysterious, and certainly most dramatic of all 1:18 scale projects! I wonder who will see one first from this forum?

tko211:

Please refresh my memory. When Avenger pictures start showing up on the 21st website main page, will that be when they are 'on the water' or actually first available at W-M, or....?

Thanks.

typically the center of the web page on the 21st is refreshed just before a product shows up and it will continue to remain on the site as the product begins to sell.

That said I would not count on seeing the center change prior to Avenger arrival. Just another element of mystery surrounding this airplane...

Good question though-

Did I hear correctly that 21C will be re-issuing the WWII Mutt like they have with the halftracks? I thought I read it here but I can't find the post.
Thanks

DH, you didn't seem too pleased with news anyway so you shouldn't sweat a break in the reporting. I know 5 days is a long time b/w announcements but I think we can handle it...

ComicCon and 21st Century

Post by cmelt27 » Tue Jul 18, 2006 5:12 pm

Is 21st Century Toys going to be at ComicCon?

My completely uneducated guess is that, if yes, the Avengers will be at ComicCon. They're close? And Tko can smell them? Again, just a guess, but it makes sense (to me at least).

Speaking of which, why has no one mentioned ComicCon in the last three weeks? Or did I just completely miss something on the board?

This is a toy forum, I don't sweat over toys... I didn't make the comment about "where is the news its been 3 days" someone else did.

Here : I thought I was a buyer :D

Where is the IRONIC emoticon? IRONIC implies an attempt to be amusing or provocative by saying usually the opposite of what is meant.

21C Marketing seems to be missing the point, make an annoucement their fan/customer base wants, ie the latest and greatest is on the water etc... 21C is pleased to annouce the shipment of 10,000 units to Walmart USA etc... and so on.

Not 21C is pleased to announce the s2 paintings of our soon to be produced Mig 15, that is, after the soon the be produced F-86, which will start production as soon as the Avenger completes final QA testing, Oh and check out our s1,s2,s3 s4 paint schemes of the much antipaticated me 262, scheduled for 2009 production...now available for preorder.

paraphrasing of course.

yada yada

EDIT - In an effort to be more cheerful I have deleted my post. I'll leave it at sarcasm (I think that may be the word you describe above DH). I was being sarcastic, you didn't have to explain.

Yeah all the new models look great, can't wait to buy one or 2. I am ready now to shell out lots of bucks on the PaK 40 and other releases.

All I need now is a Doctor Who Tarus* to have infinite room to store all the current models and projected new ones in the space of my coffee table.

*sci-fi fastasy :D

That would be a fantasy. A Tarus is a poor excuse for a car made by Ford. That thing that Dr. Who travels in is a Tardis.

TKO, Is there any chance that 21st Century Toys will re-relase the Panther?
(and Tiger hopefully, Whittman will do :D )

Any updates on the Avenger?

Thanks!

TKO,
Unfortunately, I have noticed that 21st has not mentioned any dates for delivery of their new releases. I read Jason's comments, on the other side of this forum, regarding confidentiality and whatever, but I think it is all bull%@*#. But I have noticed that 21st has not really mentioned an actual forecast of delivery. Maybe they have contracts with 3rd parties regarding the release of info, or maybe they are scared by the delays in the past? But it really would be nice to have answers to the following questions: When is the F-86 coming out? When is the Mig coming out? When is the, dare I say, Avenger coming out? When is the ME 262 coming out?

Can you give us a date of estimated delivery? Or can you at least hint at it within 3 to 6 months? It might sound like I am whining, but, I want to know so I can adjust my budget. The new stuff that is coming out has my mouth salivating! But if 21st does not tell us an estimated date of delivery, I, and I am sure others, might just preorder the compo's product if we do not know an estimated time of delivery. And please do not give us “your” guesstimations on the situation. With all do respect, I know that you have ties with 21st, but do you actually have answers? Or are you fed info like we are fed info from 21st, “no info”? It might be more informative if 21st cut out the middle man and give us some info "from the horse’s mouth.” Again, no disrespect intended, but really, we have not heard from a single 21st rep to date. At least the other companies have reps on this site that are on the payroll and they probably have the inside info. You, yourself, have admitted not to know what is actually going on. The heads of 21st tell you what to say, it is awful propaganda.

Do you really know what is going on at 21st Century, or are you told what to tell us? I am sounding bitter but I have had this darn Avenger on preorder for the last year. I want to know if this is what I can expect in the future. Or, are we going to get some “close” to accurate info.
