PMA or Minichamps makes a limited number of Mercedes Benz trucks in 1/18, big and pricey:
1950 Mercedes-Benz Truck L 6600 Rungenpritsche (Stake Truck)
http://www.sportcraftcars.com/Minichamp ... 050_im.jpg
I missed out on the canvas covered model, but I did get the canvas covered twin axle trailer that can go with it.
This company makes excellent diecast 1/18:
http://www.schuco.de/uk/models/classicc ... els118.htm
They also have a different year MB Lorry, a little paint, and wha la
Wish List: any WW1 plane, classic 30's avaition, B-58, Sea Harrier (Falklands War) Space Ship from Forbidden Planet movie with full interior/robot, and any sort of WW2 landing craft.
AND, High quality models of Star Wars, esp the Y wing and B wing

It will never happen, but nobody said we can't dream right?? Anyway, as long as we are talking watercraft, how about an Elco 80' PT boat, literally bristling with armament, I think it would make a superb subject for an XD model....U-boat

Ah well.....another dream I suppose.

As I recall the last time this thread was posted....we discussed the possiblities of a B-25.......not a whole lot bigger than the P-38 in size>>>
Aferg....you remember this thread? If I recall someone had done the math and found it was not extremely bigger that the P-38.
If this is true.....a B-25 would not be too far fetched.
And............didn't someone post pics of a B-17 prototype?
Aferg I know you got a memory like a steel trap!!!!!!

Given the size of the scale, I would definately love to see the B-25H with swappable noses. If size didn't matter to the manufacturer, the B-17 would be my choice above all else, period.

Hi Jay, good to see another New Zealander here, and from Auckland too!Jay wrote:Wish list? Put me down for a Short Sunderland flying boat and a PBY Consolidated Catalina
If you are into flying boats, then you are probably familiar with the MOTAT museum.I set up XD displays there regularly, both as a job for the museum as well as battlefields for the RC tank Club. I was also at the Model-X show recently with an XD/RC tank display. If you haven't seen any of these yet, I'd like to catch up with you sometime.

Hey Neville, Yeah I used to love going to Motat when I was younger, but I haven't been back in years. I think another visit is long overdue. My favourites were the Lancaster, Short Sunderland and years and years ago they had a P-47 Razorback sitting outside - I think that Thunderbolt is in Australia now? I used to be a freelance model maker so I've got the itch again to build so I think a Sunderland or C-47 is somewhere on the horizon (but I want to scratchbuild a V1 Fieseler first). Although when I was working freelance I was also at tech so I had access to lathes and milling machines so I'll have to be more inventive with my tools when scratchbuilding now. Anyway, email me: nado_design@hotmail.com and we'll have a chat.
