What every modern day aviation collector would love to have

Imagine this if one of the companies that makes 1:18th scale aircraft could secure a licenses agreement for this aircraft they would not have any problems selling them, I know it would be huge but it would sell. Every aviation collector and Buff out their would have at least two of them,

I call on admiral toys and Bbi to secure a licenses agreement and Make the………

hmm....fantasy aircraft are not really my cup of tea but it may be a popular item. I've recently seen threads about it on both the rcgroups forum and the cardmodels.net forum.

Trouble is it would be about 4 feet long in 1/18 scale...pretty big.

However if you'd like a model that represents a real russian plane that is like the firefox and is about 1/18 than look here:

The Su 47 is a nice aircraft.

For years I wanted to see a large scale Mig 31 Fire Fox made. Heck I always wanted a large scale 1:18 F4u Corsair, and look it took almost 20 some years and now we have them.

as for 4 feet long I can make the room. LOL

Absolutely concur with Ferg on this one, there are any number of Soviet/Russian aircraft that I would love to see, but this ain't one of them..... to each his own I suppose.

As with Fantasy Knives, Dungeons and Dragons, Fairies and Goblins, I can't quite get into that myself. Just never interested me. But as Ferg said, it would be huge. Obnoxiously Huge. The movie was cool though.

I am not in to the fantasy stuff, but a 1:18 Mig 31 FireFox would be a great collectable that would appreciate in value, if it were done right.

If someone were to make a 1/18 scale fantasy aircraft, I'd vote for some of the incredibly well designed anime aircraft from properties like Macross Zero or Yukikaze. Even the Talon from the subpar Stealth movie would be cool. The Firefox plane was great for its time, but there are so many other aircraft out there that are more believable or at least cooler looking. I think my view on that particualr design is partially the unlikely tail heavy look and the really bad effects of it flying in the film.
But if you're sitting out there loving on the Firefox, then it probably seems like a good idea for a 1/18 scale toy.

The Book Fire Fox came out in 1977 years before most of the general public had any idea what Stealth was. The Concept of the FireFox was a stealth hypersonic plane, with advance avionics that are getting off the drawing board and are being tested “thought Control”. http://www.af.mil/news/airman/0296/look.htm

Just another idea ahead of it’s time, just like Jules Verne.

It may be a fictional aircraft, However I think it should be made. No one except one or two exotic modeling companies makes the FireFox models, and there is no real commercial marketing to date. If one were made it would be a wise investment.

I would love to see a YF-23 however but that aircraft has just as much chance of being built as the FireFox.

Must admit Firefox is a Beauty to behold

Also with a LITTLE work one is achieveable anyway converting one of the GI JOE Cobra airplanes. Either the Night Raven or Condor could be the perfect base for the Firefox. May NOT be 100% Scale Accurate BUT it`s achieveable.

Though that would also mean someone`s got to make a 1/18th Clint Eastwood head sculpt too

Greetings citizens, we would like to inform you that any resemblance between Firefox and secret Military experiments is purely non-existant and solely the product of overstretched imaginations.
Further, any citizen who points out that the fictional Mig 31 looks like a cross between the XB70 Valkyrie and the F117 Stealth "Fighter" will be rounded up and taken for questioning at a secret location somewhere around Area 51 where they will be used as guineapigs for testing the non-existant ET Mind Control...

If you want "real" aircraft, how about the Wobblin' Goblin or the A12? (Anyone any idea why the supposedly recon-only A12 carries an "Attacker" tag? That's almost as dumb as calling a bomber the F117!)

The call for new helis seems to have died away - with only one real transport for modern forces. We need at least a Hind and one of the new European birds (NH90 and EH101) - the '101 should be definite player since it's been selected for the new POTUS bird (and aren't Sikorsky kicking up a stink!!!).

Still want a Black Shark, too...

Ohh I wouldn`t say the Helo guys have gave up the ghost yet,we keep getting DROWNED out by our Airplane Brethren.....LOL

I`d still Love to see so much from the world of Rotor Hubs

The EH 101 Merlin would indeed be nice to get (Was surprised the Pres has chosen that too.

The Lynx is still top of my list as too the Gazelle

I too would love to see the Hind as well as say the Tiger too

A Sea Stallion & Jolly Green Giant HAVE To be made

A Chinook (Wokka Wokka) would be to die for

A bell 222 is another i`d like in 1/18th as well as the Augusta 109 (just cause Our SAS like to use them after capturing them from the Argies during 82

).

The A-12 was supposed to a carrierborne stealth attack plane (or Bomb Truck) to replace the A-6 series. Navy nomenclature for aircraft is particularly specific. In some circles its been claimed that Sidewinder missiles were compatible for use with its internal weapon racks. This along with its dainty size may explain the "F" designator. Interesting subject matter, but there are about 20+ items I'd like to see before that particular piece...ie: Tomkitty, Phantom, Intruder, Su-27, Su-34, Mig-29, Mi-24, Alligator, Skyhawk, Harrier, and of course the A-10.
