Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?

An A-10 rolls on the ground quite nicely right before takeoff! :D

I think it is going to be something that has been suggested before and we have wanted for a while. I would guess M1A1 Abrams or T-34, but I wouldn't count out the A-10. I would want some artillery, but we are going to have to wait for that one.

Man it would be cool if it were an A-10 but I'm not going to get my hopes up too high with it being 21st Century and their track record with the A-10. I'm placing my bet on artillery as well.

Still I would love to click on to 21st website and see some bad a$$ pictures of a 1/18 scale Hog!!!!!

Go Ugly Early in 1/18 scale!

Still waiting and wishing for a 1/18 A-10 Warthog.

What are you talking about? There already is a Stuka and they just announced the M16. :?

After TKO's comment about wanting multiples and being small with a punch I will have to guess artillery once again.

while it doesn't specifically say it's a new piece of armour, i am guessing it's the King Tiger (probably without interior.....sorry tman).

I would love it but the hints don't really fit an 88 or any artillery for that matter....

Mind you i dont' know that i would describe a king tiger as 'breaking new ground' (unless you take it literally). I would describe it as 'long overdue..' So maybe it's something else altogether.

We'll know soon enough i guess...

That's a good guess Normandy. There are already tanks in the line but there is no artillery so it fits that bill. I don't know how a KT would. :? And there were sure a lot more Pak 40s in action then KTs so I would say it is just as long overdue. Small, punch = little gun that's been done in both 1/32 and 1/6 by 21C so far.

They already announced a KT for later next year so I don't see why everyone wants one of our precious few 1:18 announcements to be the KT...

If it is the Pak 40, I hope it comes with shells..although I guess those wouldn't be the worst scratch builds..

TKO wrote:

"Just so that things don't get too out of control here... Don't expect it to be a bomber (B-25) or anything like that. It is quite a bit smaller and packs a pretty good punch. Something like this has never been done before from 21st in 1:18 scale. Most of us will want more than one."

I just saw this quote from TKO in the 'another surprise' thread. After reading it i'm convinced it's either an 88 or a pak 40. And if it's an 88, he's right, i will want more than one. I'll want six. 8)

I hope its an artillery piece, but could it be a new modern piece of armour, the most modern piece theyve done has been the 113 and that apc has been around for almost 50 years.

I would only hope, if it is an artillery piece, it has the companion piece to tow it.

If it is a Pak-40, it can be towed by our existing German half-tracks.

If it is a 105mm Howitzer or a 57mm Anti-tank gun, it can be used behind our Dodges or half-tracks. Towing a 105mm behind a Dodge or half-rack is a stretch but it can be done. I have a movie of Abn operations in VN and it clearly shows a 105mm Howitzer being towed by a M-37. Same engine and drive train as our WW2 Dodges.

I'd love it to be a 57mm Anti-tank gun

If it is an 88, we will need something to tow it with. Famo anyone? but I don't thing it is one of those. I would like to see a German Opel Blitz truck or any German troop carrier for that matter. Too many good things we need, to just narrow it down to one. With that any thing new ground vehicle wise would be welcomed. I don't think it is a aircraft, but I could be wrong.

Perhaps I'm just having a minor stroke, but isn't the Bradley considered an APC?
