Power Team Fire Dept

Post by tankduel » Sun Dec 12, 2004 11:52 pm

I saw Power Team Fire Dept figure/playsets on sale today. The figures
come with interlocking brick wall sections ,railed platforms etc and tools for $4.99 NZ
I am gonna go back tomorrow and buy some, the walls will be good for WW2 dioramas.
I also saw that they had some PT Adventure playsets, one had a female I think. One set was a kayaker/kayak.
I can post some pics soon and make some notes on the various sets I found if anybody is interested,or is this old news? There are no photos of these on the Power Team site nor any mention of the Adventure series.

G'Day TD

I've been looking at the Spec' Op walls with a simular idea, also all the camels and horses seemed to disappeared on my side of the pond is the situation the same in NZ.

P.S. Work may be sending over to Aukland for a about a week in the New Year, if I have a chance I might see if I can catch up.

Sounds cool man, do you have any pictures available perhaps? I'd dig seeing these...

Ironic they're on sale before PTE even gets pics up of them at their site. :(

I'm hoping PTE beefs up their figures by making removable headgear. Not a HUGE step ahead, just a minor one, that would maybe be the difference between some customizer buying them or not. I know I'd be more interested if the figures were of more use to me as custom fodder.

powerteamusa..

Post by Adeleron » Mon Dec 13, 2004 7:02 am

Hi Guys,

I've done some research on this..

PowerteamUSA is just a distributor in the the US for M&C Toys. They will probably get really good at it when they start to carry inventory.. I know I will order from them..I will order lots!

The www.powerteamfigures.com site that never seems to say anything other than 'coming soon' is the official site for M&C Toys.

The Fire and SWAT product are only as available as the number of distributors in your area.. unfortunately if you don't live in Asia/Pac.. there are'nt alot of distributors.. So it's not that all the product is new.. but it will be new to us in North America..

I know KB carries the military, and Sears in the US.. I'm not sure who else..Something cool happened this last year in Canada - Sears started carrying power team! - but it is way more expensive..

I think the best bet for all of this stuff is for as many of us as possible to support Powerteamusa.com to make sure they get lots of product in! This is me being greedy of couse because I want to get a couple more PTE blackhawks and I hope they come out with an IFV/AFV...

Cheers,

Ryan

Hey all,

A couple of things for you..

You can consider us more or less the US Marketing arm of the the company since they really don't do any here.

You will see more of the SWAT & Fire as they'll be here in early February.

Also..we're putting together a "Battle Buffet" of sorts where you will be able to order your own accessories and items along with your favorite vehicles and figures! Get as many camels, boxes, barb wire rigs and weaposn packs as you want. Again, I cannot stress enough how tedious the process is working with the factory on making this happen.

In addition as I postd earlier you'll beseeing store exlcusives as well for you Joe fans.

Thanks and drop me a line with any questions!

Hello,
I have a bunch of the PTE line already and I would like to have more.
Personally I think PTE is loosing customers by not having the stuff ontime or in stock quickly. Also it is really hard to find their stuff in many of the stores that used to sell them.
I personally don't want to wait 'til February to see the pics!!!!!!
I would like to see them and buy them ASAP!
especially during X-mas season.
Also I think the buffet of parts idea is pretty cool, especially if we can buy walls, sandbags, barrels and such in bulk.
please post a pic of the SWAT and FIRE ASAP!
so that I and many othere here can make plans with your itmes.
thank you!

Great photos, thanks tankduel! Hope those show here, I can really use the firefighters for a crash crew I've been trying to make. Looks like there is more definition in the chest/torso also, with these figures - in fact, the diver looks as good as bbi IMO!

Black gear and traditional helmets!?!? Usually, fireifghter figurees are modeled after West Coast firefighters not us black gear, leather helmet wearing Northeast hosedraggers. Now I have an action figure modeled after me. Well, not really. Unless they got my tall dark and handsome mug sculpted just right alongwith a look of gritty determination.

Nice pics man, thanks. Appreciate that...

I like the idea of adventurer figures. I wanna see that arctic figure... May be some neat Hoth fodder for Star Wars customs.

Lots of cool stuff, and removable helmets? Kick ass PTE!

G'day Tankduel

Originally Target had heaps of horses and camels on the shelves, then suddenly somebody else noticed and they all disappeared.

I see that the pictures of your items have the Power Team Logo, Here we only have the Exclusive Target Special Ops variety, and these show no hints of the RIB or Chopper on the back of the packets, but are otherwise identically packaged but with the Specials Ops Logos.

Here is a partial list of what’s available here in Oz:

F18 (way under size and simplified, but my sons going to love it this Christmas)

HMMWV Desert with TOW launcher (with a little effort can be made to look OK)

HMMWV Tri-colour with mk19 (over-scaled to about 1/10th)

HMMWV Tri-colour cargo (open with no canvas canopy on the Spec Op version)

HMMWV SWAT black with MG (I think it was a M60)

Camel with Rider

Horse with Rider

Military M’Bike with Rider (very ordinary)

Police M’Bike (same bike as Military bike)

Civi M’Bike with rider (fare, yet much better than the other bike)

Water-sled with Diver (same as the one in TD’s pic’s)

We have the same Fire-fighter sets as shown in TD’s pic’s as well as Police/SWAT sets, if I recall correctly these come with road block accessories. There are also numerous single figure sets that come are supplied personal weapons only.

TD if NZ does go ahead, I'll PM you with the deatails.

Spud, great, let me know if you come over.At least with Power Team we have some 1/18th stuff we can walk into a store and buy, maybe get on special sometime.21st Century went down like lead balloon in the stores in NZ unfortunately.

Here is a link to some news about the Motat museum where our tank club is based, might be of some interest to Aviation buffs here.

Very cool TD, I appreciate the photo. Gonna enhance it some... Hopefully this'll hit over here since I think some of the accessories would make neat custom fodder.

Finding PTE is like finding a needle in a haystack, unless you want the figure sets from KB for cheap.
