Bill Gifford's custom M113 ACAV
Hey guys, Bill asked me to post these pics of his custom 1/18th M113 ACAV. He said he will post more when he gets a new battery for his camera. Nice work Bill.

Thanks Ostketten and Steelbonnet for you possitive feedback. This was a project that had to be done. I don't understand why 21st won't do this version. They have the body molds. All they have to do are the shields. They molded the cupola shields in 1/32. But then again, they did that half ass too. They didn't make the 2 side M60s and shields. Oh yeh, by the way, cutting the side skirts off was a fun task. Too bad they were metal instead of plastic.

Great work! Its really funny how the 21c M113 has turned into such a customizer's dream. Boardmembers have done all sorts of work with them. Somewhere I recall seeing a photo of a 21c 1:18 prototype for a Vietnam-era M113 ACAV, but it obviously never made it into production.

Thanks guys for your input. Talk about dropping the ball on this one. 21st century could have made a mint on the M113 and its different variations. In almost every photo you see on the Vietnam war there is either a Huey or a M113. The two main workhorses of that war. Let's make the M-41 instead!!!! This was so great the 1st time around, let's make it in winter camo too. What were they thinking.
