Sky Captain P-40...
I was just over at the 21st site and found this... chttp://www.21stcenturytoys.com/products/sky-ca ... ex.htmlame
I haven't seen the moive yet, I might pick up the dvd when it comes out. As for the plane it looks cool and its one more way for 21st to expand their fan base. One other point of intrest if your into 1/6th, Sams Club will be selling the RC 1/6th M 5 Stuart with 4 figures.

Well, Sam's club is owned by Wal Mart, so thats not surprising. Maybe Xd will eventually show up there as well!
I think its cool that 21st is doing the Sky Captain P-40. It just might sell as little Johhnny who saw the movie will recognize the box and the plane! Watching the film really made me think of my XD P-40! I wonder which figure they'll use for Jude Law. The P-47 pilot would work best, in my opinion, cause of its heavy coat.

Darn it if there isn't something new for me to spend my money on! Those marines look excellent and I like the prospect of bringing back the M-4 in Pacific colors when there are actually figures to go with it. Good way to make a USMC Tanker by switching heads. Can't wait to see these. Now where are the Japanese that are supposed to attack them in a Banzi charge?
Nice
That's good to see. The pics look a lot more like production pieces than they have before. I guess I gotta favor the guy with my nickname....but I am wondering why greasy doesn't have a grease gun. That's easy enough to remedy...BRING THEM ON.
Now 21st is being SMART!!!!! Releasing related groups are sure fire winners and if Walmart fixes it's distribution issues (of which is being fixed as we speak) and these things hit the shelves at the same time, we are in damn good shape!! I like the the Marine helmets hanging off of COED!!! That is distictly different than the first issue. Add the second tanker without the helmet and you have a true winner!!! Boy are we in trouble folks!

I think (from some sites) that it is somewhat accurate. Either way, the subject matter is pretty cool. Check out this site:

Very impressive site!
Looks like they were straight green in 1943 but I read on some modelling sites that units used varying camouflage including the sand on green. I saw only one picture of a model with the same camo as COED and had wood side armor attached to deter magnetic mines that the Japanese would plant on them. So I'm happy with the camo............

I don't see anything on a release date yet. I hope soon, I would just like to see something different. For those who have not seen the move, you should.... well I guess now you might hav eto wait for the DVD. In anycase it was a pretty cool show kinda like Indianna Jones meets the flying tigers as they battle the iron giants. Very retro-future. Just a fun ride. I think I might keep this one in the box though.
