What about producing WWI tank? Mark I - V

I was looking at a reference book on WWI and it dawned on me that, to my knowledge, there is not a 1/72 scale tank of a MarK I. I do know that The Franklin Mint produced a Mark I(V?), a few years ago, but it was several hundred dollars. Also, Corgi has one in a smaller scale, that is sold in Wal Mart. Anyway, I sent this info., and suggestion to Admiral Toys. What is the Forum's view on the market value of a WWI tank? Would you buy it? I would in a heart beat!

It was William Britain who produced a Mark I 'Mother" Male tank. My bad.

Micromachines a few years ago made very small examples of the Male and Renault tanks used by the allies in WWI. Versions of those tanks would most likely be possible in 1:72, and I'd probably get them, but then I would want some 1:72 WWI aircraft to go with them.

there are a variety of wwi model kits notably by Emhar and others. Some are very nice but not built up. I don't know what the perceived demand for them would be.

The 1/32 mk I by Britains looks pretty nice; they also made a handful of artillery pieces and at least two planes. Pretty expensive tho..

With the 100th Aniversery of the war to end all wars coming in another 7 years. We will probally start seeing more and more WW1 toys showing up.

Wow! 100 years already! I remember meeting a few WWI vets when I was young.

all my fellow tread-heads would be happy.

I would offer a special "No Man's Land" series including boxings of MkIV Male and Females, and FT17 cannon and Hotchkiss versions.

That's 4 tanks from 2 basic chassis; just swap cannon and MG sponsons to get the male/females, and turret gun mantlets between the Renaults.

Ah, the re-paint possibilities!

One of my Renny's would be painted as Patton's mount.

For opposition, I'd offer several repaints of my "NMsLand" A7V. the skull and crossbones version will sell well.
As will the booty-panzer MkIV re-paint.

For related "NMsLand" figs; I'd have Doughboys, French and German.

And ABSOFREAKINLOOTLY a German Maxim MG08 team, a Brit Vicker's team, a Brit Lewis team, and a French Chauchat gunner.

One of the Doughboy's could be positioned as a walking BAR gunner.

For related "NMsLand" guns, I'd offer the vaunted German 77mm, the Brit 18Lb'r, and the French 75.

Might even get a wild hair to offer the little French Puteaux on a "team" card.

Extra blister-cards accessory sets would carry barb-wire, sand-bags, gas-masks, small arms, and battlefield flotsam and jetsam.

Would you folks buy my stuff?

My Grandpa was in the Great war. He never talked about it. Then one day while I was on leave from thr army and whent to see him at the Old folks home and asked him what he did durring the war. But by that time he was so incoherent I couldnt understand what he said.
