Comrades,
I have used the search function, but can't find anything. I have been kitbashing/ repainting my 1:18 XD figures and using a craft paint- which works OK.
I've found that testors doesn't work at all, what do you guys use for good permanent paintjobs on the figures?

Testors will work fine provided you're using their acrylic paints. I've found acrylic to be the best overall paint since it works great for hard and soft plastic. Enamel for some reason recacts with the soft plastic and rarely dries.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

painting figures
Another board member informed me that paint sticks better to the older figs (s1), than it does the newer BoB Infantry that are available now which have a sort of "powder" coat you may notice. The new guys look great as is but just don't take the paint as well, I have been told.
Tamiya Acrylics are my favorite paint overall, and as said do wash the figs - just the oil from being pawed over time is enough to mess a delicate job. Good luck.
