poor touch up paint work

Post by Sabrefan » Wed Apr 05, 2006 5:56 pm

I got a BBI P-51D "Killer" today, and I just found something that really takes from the looks of the plane. On the leading edge of the right wing is some really sloppy touch up paint work. Looks like the top and bottom of the wing did not go together well in this area, and someone took a brush and tried to fill the gap. It really looks bad with large brush strokes, and what appears to be some kind of glue under the paint. I can fix this, but the rest of the plane is very well put together. Anyone else have this kind of problem? :(

It's been a long road, but I am still in the game. :)

My BBI "Killer" P-51 is pretty much flawless as far as its paintscheme is concerned. No sloppy work in the manner that you described.
