I'm seeing the new starwars figures all over the place with the Empire strikes back and Jedi set still collecting dust -

WM seems to have overloaded themselves with planes again with the German and american 104's all placed out at once and all the new Me 109 placed out at once - as of today four different WM searched and on average 4-6 hummers, 3-4 weapons carriers, 8-12 planes 1:18

The south west atlanta area...

Sigh. The problem of German & American F-104s does not exist in the West unfortunately. No P-51s either dammit.

Well - I have yet to see a P-51 and STUKA!!

The last Stuka I ever saw in a store was the Snake Stuka at TRU a few years back - back in the day when they stacked piles of em and had them hanging from the rafters.

Same here. Oh the Walmart distribution woes. The problem also is that the raw numbers on the shelves are just not there anymore. F-104's and 109s look like they are packed one scheme per case, thus if you are late and somebody else grabbed the solitary F-104, you are SOL. The same goes for the WC51 and Hummer. One each to each case, so for me, it's an automatic trip to multiple WM's to get my two. This pretty much sux......

It is 2 WC-51s and one of each Humvee in the case.

Overall I think there is a delicate balance here - one or two extra cases of one item and you're looking at 8 shelf warmers...and then we moan there is so much of this and none of that. I say better one or two in every store in an AO rather than 8 at one & none at the next (see TRU circa 2003). Not saying things are peachy, but just that there is another side.

Well, that's good. Now I know that one sold at each location before I got there, hehehehe...

Wal-Marts in the Rockies put out the New 1:18 scale Corsair "Bunker Hill" and the new Stuka! Also I picked up the complete set of the new BOB 2 figs!

It was the first time I was more excited for the figures than the planes!

Not that I could resist those sexy new schemes, you guys all know I get every 1:18 scale airplane! -But man those BOB 2 figures are SWEET!

Well, good. Those figures are getting further west. I'll have to keep a lookout in my area. Recently, I've only been seeing whats left of the Japanese and OMG figures. The Stukas and Corsairs showed up (mysteriously) a couple months before this wave of sightings!

All youll need next is a 1:18 Aircraft carrier -
that is if the Navy had any 104s
if not you could work on a 1:18 airbase

XD Recon Cary, NC Walmart

Post by Jagdplastic » Wed Mar 22, 2006 4:31 pm

Found two Seemann 109G's and two German F-104's at the Cary, NC Walmart today. I picked up one of the 109's. I thought they'd probably start showing up around here as most stores are low on XD merchandize. There seems to be a new collector in my area getting some to the pieces that I've been seeing on the shelves for the past few months. No BOB2 figures, yet.

Teamski, wish I could send you some of the Japanese and OMG here. One Walmart I hit today had three pegs overloaded with those guys.

For those of you with W-Ms carrying German F-104s, is this the first F-104 shipment your W-M received? Or was the silver 104 rec'd first?

Thanks.

The Walmart that had the German 104s only received the German planes. One of the other Walmarts I frequent had only the silver 104.
