I thought this picture was too cool. It shows an overhead view of all aircraft carriers currently in operation. I knew the US had alot, just not THAT many!

Well, we do happen to be the world's sole superpower and glad its us :D

I thought Russia would have had more carriers; same with the UK. Kind of funny to see Brazil has one.

What I find suprising are the countries that actually have one carrier. Thailand? South Korea? Spain? Where are these guys operating that they find they need a carrier? :roll:

Russian Kiev class carriers are missing from the list (even if they are mothballed at Murmansk).

Brazil Had 2, One of witch was on E-Bay at this time last year starting bid at 7 mil. If I could only hit the lottery :lol:

Coincidently I just watched a special about the USS Reagan on the History Channel and they mentioned that it's the newest of the Nimitz type carriers.

the brazilian one is a former french carrier "le Foch" he was rechristened sao paulo when we sold it to brazil

Isnt that the one sold to India as detailed in the accompanying article? The illustration sort of reminds me of the Pre-WWI era world where prestige was measured in metric tons with dreadnoughts.
