Series 3 Marines

Post by Gusthebus » Wed Mar 15, 2006 10:15 pm

I have only found one series 3 Marine in all of Denver and Colorado Springs. Are these figures not out in mass yet or are they on they almost done? Thanks.

Also, which Huey do you think is worth getting the "Easy Rider" with one figure or the "1st Air Cav" one with 4 figures? I like the looks of the Easy Rider but I would love to have the full crew for it also.

21c Helocopter pilots are in VERY short supply (this was one figure that sould have been released carded, along with the VN tanker). Therefore, I'd get the 1st Air Cav Huey with the full crew if it were me choosing. However, get which ever helocopter you think is best :D

Tman is right on the lack of carded VN pilots and Tankers.
If you like "Easy Rider" over "1st Air Cav", get the "Easy Rider" and trade/buy the figures from other board members to get yourself a full crew.

Or, get the full aircrew and repaint the Huey to match "Easy Rider".

My understanding is that in local retailers, the series three marines have already come and gone in most places (e.g. my walmarts only had them for a short time and I haven't seen them since).

I haven't seen much of them on the e-tailers either. In fact, most of the recent XD figs seem to be lacking distribution to the web sellers.

I have never seen, or heard of the s3 marines. I know the s1 versions are regular, the s2 have cam cream on their faces and what about the s3? Can anyone please fill me in?

So are the S3 wearing the darker cammies? Or the lighter ones?

Okay. So I have two S3s then. I didn't even realize there was a dark cammie series. Just found almost a whole set of 2s at an online retailer. Heck I've still got some S3s lingering on the pegs at a couple of my Walmarts.
