yes it skip. i found out why now. there are four set of gear two larg and two small. the size decrease inorder as you go closer to the power sourse.
the second larg gear not connected directly to the main tank shaft has warn out. so the skipping noise is due to two of the teeth on the gear being warn out on one side, so when the motor runs and the power is transfer to the second gear is incomplete. thus the smaller two gear spend in place while the larger second gear just stop.
has any one look at the gear of the m113 are they the same i was thinking of buying one and replacing the gear.
thanks buy.

flpickupman,
For the MK IV hull you have, how about one of the following:-
FLAKpanzer MKIV version (Need to make the Flak weapon then the shield that goes around the weapon)

or
HUMMEL or NASHORN A lot of work here though.
or
Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär

& of course there`s the STUG III too

There`s a few ideas for you

Man! I never thought of a Flakpanzer. That also may be due to the fact that my skills and abilities are very limited.. lol Thanks much for the suggestions.
It looks as if the shield istelf would be within my capabilities. The AA guns and interior detail on the other hand.. Makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.

Well glad to help there & as for the actual Flak cannons, what about improvising & using 1/16th one if there is one?
Alternatively you could hire out or go for a more simplier cannon you know ( 4 thin pipes, block of balsa/Plastic to insert the tubes into & add some little wheels & ammo cases & a seat or two added, simplier version & once painted up & say folage added who`s going to know
).
"Smoke & Mirrors" are sometimes the best way to achieve the effects your after
Just a thought.

Hmmm.. 1/16th. Now there's a thought. I suppose I could stretch the armor shield a bit if necessary. I'll probably have more success finding a single 37mm AA gun than the quad 20mm. Guess I need to start looking around. Thanks again.

The only thing I've found so far is a Tamiya 1/16 single 20mm towed rig. None seem to be availale, however. Looks like I'm going to have to break down and pick up a 1/35 Ostwind (single 37mm) for reference and fudge the rest.
