Interesting Aircraft on Ebay. thoughts about it?

Post by lsc1002 » Thu Feb 23, 2006 8:07 pm

I was checking on ebay and came across this sale of a custom 190 in the Soviet air force. I have seen US/allies planes but never seen any pictures of German aircraft painted up by the Soviets. Its pretty cool. It would be kind of neat if in the next air war 21c gave the winners some really unique aircraft.

If anyone wants to see the aircraft it is in the link below

Russian Dora

Post by Folkwulfe » Thu Feb 23, 2006 8:23 pm

This is the same person (I believe) that did a Russian P-40 that was also sold on Ebay not too long ago. While he has talent for repaints, I had to laugh a little at the "serious collector" and "realistic damage" that he put in the writeup. I haven't seen too many exactly round holes from shells lately and the silver paint around the hole in the canopy got me giggling a bit. Not to take away from the person, I really admire that he finds obscure schemes and does a good job painting them. I hope he gets what he's asking and continues. I'd like to see his next project.

Not a bad job, but he obviously doesn't know too much about the Dora..

Hey guys,
This is not one of my ride's, This one belongs to someone else, I did the P-40 that was on e-bay, also the only Fw 190-A BAR's (short nose), Hartmann's Winter Bf109, Prillers fw190-D (JUTTA) And several others, My work and Feedback speak for itself, 400+, Other's have thought enough of me to copy my write ups, But as usual the workmanship falls short, Just remember if it ain't from the WOOFER--- WELL--- it JUST AIN"T.

While this example is nice, I agree that it is not up to par with the level of detail I have seen from Woofer's stuff.

Interesting custom-job with that FW-190. Now how about doing a captured allied plane in German markings :)

Definately not "Woofer's" quality. Sorry about the mistake. As far as I'm concerned....YOU DA MAN!
