BBi F-16 Viper/Falcon Official Thread
Here's a thread from another board which contains two pictures of the production version of the upcoming BBI F-16. Canopy tint looks a bit dark, otherwise it's a beauty..

F-16
Look at the size of that thing!! I guess thats the version I've got coming from BadCat in a few weeks and it sure looks awesome. I kind of like the canopy tint.
Canopy........
The BCA website mentions that the tint will be a lighter smoke gray on the canopy than what you see. It actually shows 2 pictures showing both versions. BCA must of caught this on the prototype........

Centone........
Centone,
That helicopter in the upper right sure looks like an OH-58 Defender in 1:18 scale! Very interesting.....
Isn't the tail code "WP" from when F-16s used to be at Wright Patt with the reserves?? If so, then the paint scheme is way off showing the 8th TFW.......

Ski,
"WP" is the correct tail code for all Kunsan AB based aircraft.
Here is a reference.
http://www.globemaster.de/cgi-bin/tail/ ... il+Code=wp
Remember, the Korean based F-16's are the Wolf Pack, hence the WP tail code. The bbi offering appears to be the wing kings bird.

Thanks!
Thanks airforce for the info! Shows how much I know, hehehehe... Now to find a profile. So it is a low vis paint scheme........

Hey I noticed one problem with the F-16 . Yeah, real minor I know, but for some reason, bbi has the engine exhaust nozzle in it's full open position. Now why they did this I don't know. 99% of the time it is in the closed postion. What are your thoughts?...........

I just hope BBI did a better job on the detail on the inside of the exhaust nozzles. That was my biggest complaint about the F-18. While modifying the nozzles on my Hornet I realized why they did it. There are two screws that pass from the lower fuselage top fuselage half to hold them together, just inside the end of the nozzle. I cut them out with a 7/8" hole saw and made plastic tubes which extend into the fuselage to give the nozzles depth. Now my Hornet is perfect!

I figured I'd make this the official F-16 thread since there is none thus far. Wanted to post this photo I took this weekend at MCAS Miramar...

California ANG F-16
Hey! I see F-16s with those markings everyday flying over my home in Fresno, California!! The main base for the 144th TFW is located there. My father (who works for the FAA) is good friends with the base commander and with him I've gotten close-up looks at the F-16s. Its always fun to see the F-16s take off and do any variety of aerobatics as well! I think its pretty cool that BCA has made decals for this fighter wing, as well as other Air National Guard units.
Re: BBi F-16 Viper/Falcon Official Thread
Wow! I was searching for a F-16 thread or gallery and I found this. Must say it's been awhile since anyone contributed to this. I wanted to share my F-16 pictures and rather than starting another thread I thought I'd add on to this existing one.
Well here's my story, I use to have the original release F-16 and F-18 but I had to let them go when I moved house (to a smaller place). I kind of regret that decision, but as luck would have it I managed to snack one off ebay for a price I was willing to pay
Feels a bit like an unboxing gallery, hopefully someone will find this useful if they are still on the fence in getting one.

Here is my "WOLF PACK" Viper.
I am hoping someone one day will make better AIM-9's (like the F-14's) and AIM-120's for these jets.

Way to resurrect an 11 year old thread, iKnight!
Hard to believe it's been that long since BBI initially released their F-16... I've still got my S1 8th TFW "Wolfpack" version as well as the new one. It's a good, durable model, save that BBI somehow goofed their scale measurements so the plane is about 1/17 scale and is a little bigger than it should be, among other minor errors. That can clearly be seen when its sitting next to the BBI F-18, which is correctly 1/18 scale.
Here's my display with the latest BBI F-16 and F-18

Well, I finally sold my F-16 because it is 1/17th scale and bought my 2nd F-18, the Sidewinder version, they pass better side by side.
But I took this picture at an air base in Switzerland:

I think I allready showed it here once time.

Wow, this is an old thread, resurrected.
Always been a big fan of the BBI Vipers and Hornets, and although the F-16 is slightly oversized, you wouldn't notice unless you display it side by side with the Hornet.
I wonder if we will see another F-16, or F-18 from BBI ?
