well..
I like Pvt. Ekiguchi for the
A) Simple head sculpt - the better to army build.
B) Removable clip on his machine gun.
C) No problems with the gear staying on that guy.
Also he is just a great figure, nothing too unique like the mortar boots or bandana - just soldier.

I gotta agree with digger for the same reasons, Pvt. Ekiguchi is one of my favorite figures. My top 10 figures that I own would have to be:

I can't remember which figure was which
My favorite of the Japanese is the Machine Gunner as he has a cool weapon, the optional head-gear (helmet or headband), pack, and the hanging bags. I also like the seargent figure with the cloth hat and the basic figure with the rifle & bayonet and handgrenade.
