I've been asking for weeks, when/if we should be looking for S2; AND if S1 will be re-stocked, or iif it is now discontinued in expectation of S2. Haven't received any answer or even speculation.

That's not a fair comment, TKO wrote the below not even two weeks ago which is at the least speculation and to me looks like an answer:
"BoB new assortment... these should be out almost any day now from my understanding. You never know! The new Dodge car came out of nowhere! You would think it was a stealth truck!!! So it could be really soon. I do know that they are finished for sure. "
I can see why the companies are in no rush to give out info if that is how it is received.

I can hardly wait for these figures to arrive! They are gonna make some nice additions to the S1 figures and allow more opportunities to create your own customized soldiers.

My mistake - I read the first post and, although it stated "BoB", I saw "bbi". My reply was concerning the second series bbi WWII infantry, NOT the 21st BoB 2nd series. As digger posted, it has been announced these are basically "ready to go" and should appear any time. I apologize for any misunderstanding.

Flayrah, I'm with you - I have sort have stopped asking about these guys - I think of them as the Avenger - I will see them when I see them..

That said the last word from the small retailers was the end of Feb or start of March they will be coming in. The $10mil question is will they be more S1 or an S2  (I guess that's what you were asking).? Either way I plan to go crazy when given the chance.

Digger,
I am with you on that!
I thought the OMG figs were the S2 BOB figs when I first found them.
But when the S2 BOBs arrive, they should kick the stuffing out of any other figures out there.
But what if BBI made their WWII Infantry figs with multi head, helmets equip and such??
I would be in XD HEAVEN!!!! :D :D :D

I`m looking forward to getting these too when they DO come out :D

Shame they never issued the German tank commander originally like that in the Ardennes sets. Nice though the cap/headphones is removable & armed with a MP40 :D

I'd be in Heaven too! More so if bbi made the little plastic 'stand'!

Cool thing is OMG figures are all over the place here - I'm working on my second set of japanese marines. I can actually buy one at a time even though i picked all the OMG at once - thinking I would never see em again - I did leave one smiling joe for the next person to find - though he was still there a week later.

basically what I'm saying is this is good news for the BoBII figures as I will buy as many as I see.

tankers!!!! :P :D

The second series of Japanese had the Japanese flag omitted and the Rising Sun bandanna removed. Mid-way through the second series of the USMC Digger had his hand with Japanese flag replaced. Does anyone think that the new BoB Germans will end up having their helmet insignias removed after the first production run? I hate to say it, but I think they will if they are gonna be sold at Walmart.

Even if the insignias were removed, the figures and all their separate accessories they're supposed to come with will afford all sorts of opportunities to make customized soldiers and that in itself is a great opportunity IMHO.

I saw the entire set of BOB 2 at Toy Fair! They are too cool! I really like the new germans with the cuff bands. It was hard to see them and not be able to take any home! 21st confirmed for me that they are due on shelves any day now! I think they are on the water but not 100% positive. I will try to find out.

Yeah - send the BoB S2 figures to the east and send all the new planes (i.e. P-51 & Avenger) west. Its only fair as the west got the BoB S1 repaints and the east got the F-104s. But that's not your decision now, isn't it :P
