Post by ogravl » Mon Feb 13, 2006 3:29 am

Area 21 has pics up of the new figure sets now. IJM, Russian, German & American sets, they look very good. Sorry, no British, the Afrika Korps helmets threw me.

Man, is it easy to be jealous of you guys. That mortar team looks so cool as does the EDIT - looks Japanese, sorry - machine gunner. I guess you 1/32 guys put your money where your mouth is because the hits never stop for you guys. :? Artillery of all sizes, Brits, Russians and more Brits, armor out the wazoo, new planes that rival 1:18 scale....it is good to be a 32x guy these days.

Those are all awesome sets!! I especially like the US and German Mortar emplacements. Hopefully these will be around soon. Where were the 32x US Marines, as featured on the back of the 32x Infantry Gun box?

And did you see the P-47M (not "D"!)? The Thunderbolt of Witold Lanowski, one of the Polish pilots serving in the USAAF. Look at the nose-art!

Yes, they're Afrika Korps, with those cool "desert" helmets similar to the one on the figure in the German Series V set. You can also tell by the rucksacks and other gear on the figures. They're still pretty neat looking, though!

No offense but why is it that no one ever posts links. I'm not as familiar with all of the 1/32 sites and my search results did not turn up anything. Could I please have a link as to what you are talking about.
Whenever i see something screech across the room and latch onto a guy's neck while he screams trying to get it off, i have to laugh because ..what is that thing.

Hi - I think they are discussing the Toy Fair pics that are on Area 21 which cannot be linked to. If you go to the 21st Century Toys website you could link to Area 21. Hope that helps.

The desert infantry is doubtless the Afrika Korps. I wrote not about them, but about the mortar team. The helmets looked for me deeper than the WWII German ones, the camouflage on two ones looked like painted on the steel, not the cover (some WWI German helmets were painted so). On the other hand, the the rest of uniforms is rather from the WWII (excepting the color...). So, probably I was wrong, I'm sorry...

Pak40 Set

Post by lightning2000 » Tue Feb 14, 2006 6:31 pm

Hi,
You get the Pak gun with some crew members. It looked like a very nice set indeed! There's also a M7 Priest in 1:32 scale coming out, although it wasnt on display...

Whoa cowboy! Did you say an M7? I've been waiting for one of those in "proper" 1/32nd scale for a while. Sounds awfully good. I need more info, who?, when?, how much?, do they sell case lots?

Thanks.

Since the M7 wasnt on display, we only have a product sell sheet with a couple images to work from. Nevertheless, the vehicle looks quite nice. We'll try to clean up the image tomorrow then post it on our site.

Did I also mention that a 1:18 scale metal King Tiger is in the works? :)

Update: Okay, I just posted a preliminary image of the M7 to our site. Here's the link:

21st is coming out with a 1:18 King Tiger in an ambush scheme, not to be confused with the 1:16 scale King Tiger also in an ambush scheme. They claim it'll be out this fall...
