Well, it looks like those guys who don't want to see anything until it's almost ready got their wish. :? Thanks to all you guys in the wait & see thread who said you rather not see protos or new pieces that are not coming NOW NOW NOW!

Jesse James wrote:No new armor, no trucks, no artillery, no playsets, and no figures... Big *YAWN* from me. I hope BBI has something more interesting to show.
They did - they had new modern figures JJ, don't know if you saw them there in the background. Don't expect to see any more from them as the pics are from their showroom, they are not really at the fair. The showroom pics are always the most revealing - the Merit booth last year didn't even have the newest stuff that was already out. I think Army Group is right - just don't even expect armor that way you are not dissappointed. :P

Digger:

Say it ain't true......Those pics TKO posted are not from the Toy Fair? You mean his fighting the blizzard to get the five blocks in a blizzard in order for us to have pics is.....a fraud?????? That TKO is really on a beach in CA, oh the horrors of the internet. 8)

I am heartbroken, tell me about the grassy knoll, tell me nobody ever went to the moon, tell me about Roswell......please, but don't say we are being mislead by 21C

Next, you'll tell us we'll never see the Avenger!!!! or a King Tiger!!! or that we won't ever see a M-16 half-track!!!!!

I am befudled  The big guy is SAD.

Trust me! I am in New York. I had a very cold stroll down the sidewalk last night as I met 21st for Dinner at a place called Carmines? We had some good food!

The "clean shots" are the showroom paint masters used for paint matching and final paint production. I have had these pics in my back pocket the week before Toy Fair but 21st needed me to hold them back till the show started.

I didn't want to waste them so I put them up for you guys... More coverage is happening and we still have many more photos to put up!

Aliens are true! I like the option of having them. They aren't glued in or anything crazy like that so if you don't like them just thow them out. The scheme is too cool to pass on in my opinion. Also it is S2 behind the Atlantic scheme so I am not waiting around for a blue version. Alien or not!

All the new 32x planes are on the water! I have pics of them in finished boxes. Also the Avenger is in a box in the back and it is looking nice. So don't worry we will see the big birds soon enough.

Gotta run I am going back in the snow to hit day 2, lucky for me it is sunny today and the roads are now clear... So where is a Taxi?

-cover me men! I am going in! :D

Also-

The Aliens heads and arms are articulated! I think they are cool. When I get mine I am going to do a custom 70's shag van thing in the torpedo bay complete with the aliens! That would be hot!

TKO,

Did you get over to the display for Pirates of the Caribbean? Are the small figures compatible with 1/18, or are they way too small?

I'm curious out that myself. They'd be at the NECA booth.

Talk about anti-climactic! I guess I did it to myself, but I was sure hoping one of the companies would throw us a bone and reveal something new and exciting at this year's toy fair. :?

TKO and others have already said this Toy Fair does not have anthing that is not ready for shipping to commercial buyers or at least "on the boat". Other shows show us what they are planning to produce or what they would like to produce by showing us prototypes.

This fair is "for the trade only", meaning it is for guys with big bucks burning up their checkbooks to make out orders.

Clear Stands

Post by eddie372 » Mon Feb 13, 2006 11:17 pm

Actually, the clear stands for the 1:32 scale aircraft are very nice and I'd like to know if they'll be available to us some time in the future.

The Zero and the Machi (can never remember the right spelling here) are all great looking airplanes, as well as the new Bf-109 with the new paint scheme shown in the 21C website.

Although I've been considering droping the 1:32 stuff, with these models I'll defenitely have to reconsider.

Yeah, a little disappointing for hoping to see "new" things. Not a lot of surprises really... I didn't see the new modern BBI stuff back there Digger so I'll check again on that. Sounds interesting. Wish I could find WW2 at this point even though. ;) Still not gotten a single BBI WW2 figure beyond the jump ready para's.

Hasbro didn't deliver a lot either, but they've slacked on TF the last couple years. Some new pics of stuff we knew about but nothing major really. It's been a bad week/weekend overall, the Toy Fair stuff I was hoping for a bit more on with these tight-lipped companies but I guess they just don't wanna reveal their hands or they don't have much of a hand to play (that I'm interested in anyway).

Now Hasbro, make us some Head Sculpt & Endor Uniform variations! The new Rebel Fleet Trooper gets the JJ Seal of Approval Though!

Fiat?

Post by jhogan » Tue Feb 14, 2006 6:37 am

When I saw the picture of the fighter in both German and Italian markings on 21C's toy show display, I had to go to my WWII spotters guide to figure what the airplane was. The best I can tell it appears to be a Fiat
G.55. This is a good choice for 21C becuase this aircraft was fearless against the P-51, Spitfires, P-47 and P-38. Although not a real famous aircraft, I'd like to see it in 1:18 scale.

I'm no AC buff but why can't those both be Macchis? They look like it to me.

the one in german markings and the one in two tone grey is a macchi 205 Veltro. A modification of the 202. They added the extra little structural bits to modify it from a 202 to a 205. They did the same on the Zero and the bubbletop P-47. Looks like a new trend for 21c.....excellent. Hopefully this will happen in 1/18 as well.

Hopefully will see those Macchis in 1/18 as well (i've started an unofficial hunger strike).

I am there with you Aferg. I have always been a buff of the 15th AAF. These 8th boys get all the credit. We need some historically accurate fodder for the 15th.

And, it is even more beautiful when it is sighted in by a P-38 or P-51.
