Not sure but it seems there are actually two different model zeros.

Who would have thought that 1:18 would become the bastard step-child of 1/32. Oh well.
It really seems nothing is out of reach in 1/32. How hard would it be to make that 202 a 205? After that look for pacific theater fighters (they are behind in that area) and then one of the bombers we drool over in 1:18. Basically anything we would love to see in XD I expect in 32x nowadays.

Just saw pictures of the new 32x "Ridge Runner" P-51. Is this supposed to be a retooled mould in the manner of its 1:18 cousin, or just a repaint of the existing 32x P-51?

Unfortunately, I think it's a repaint..

Darn - I'd had bought another 21c P-51 if it was retooled... I only have the S1 "Blue Nose" version, and while I like the scheme (as well as most of the other P-51 repaints), I hate seeing them on the highly inaccurate airframe that 21c chose for their design

Ridge Runner is on the old mold. The new paint really does dress them up though. But I doubt you will have to wait too long before 21st rolls out a new pony someday!
I want to B model... Badly! ---Roy, you out there? -let me hope!

Bummer about the P-51, but the new 202s-205s and Zeros look GREAT and I can't wait to add them to my collection...
Any chance we'll get our hands on some of those clear stands??

word on the street with clear stands is that Product development team has them in the work flow. But I should stress that they come second to making new airplanes on 21st's list.

Have any Zeros hit the market yet? My 7 year old son has suddenly developed a huge interest in planes. I have had to "fix" him with a FW190, P51 and Me109 as he keeps asking to have my NIB BBI Zero. If the 21st zeros dont come out soon, I may have to cave in...

It would seem like only on the west coast for now...
Scratch that... The ones on ebay are listed out of Texas.. So there may be hope yet...

Sweet pictures hworth. I can't wait to get my airplanes, but here in Miami things are not going very well with WMs and TRUs. In fact, I've seen nothing but empty shelves since Christmas. Hope things get better here soon.

I had a question about the 21s Zero. Are they offering it in the grey scheme? Also, I seem to recall the Macchis had German engines in them.
Finally, remember the days in school when the teacher caught you chewing gum in class and asked if you had enough for everyone? I think we should have a rule that says if you post a picture of a new 21st release, especially if you own it, you should have to have enough planes to send out to everyone on the board who wants one.

Being in NJ we are the furthest from the west coast. We get stuff but it takes sooo long!

Hey, I am just keeping the list updated and have no further connection to the pics posted here.. So if you really want some, you'll have to bring your own..
The Zero is being issued in 2 white (grey?) schemes and the rest in various greens.. The Macchi had the same DB engine as the Bf-109s although the performance wasn't the same..

yes, the 'grey' zero is pictured, it is the second zero. The colour wasn't actually grey but a very light carmel tinted green. Looks a tad dark in the photo but the shade is right.
Yes the macchis used german daimler engines, the same used in the 109G. The 202 used an early version and the 205 used a later version that required additonal cooling, hence the tube shaped oil coolers on each side of the chin on the cowl on the 205.

Having seen the gray 32x Zero (in the box only) and using the concept model picture earlier in the thread and also the BBI Zero, it can be said that the color on the actual 32x plane is a little more "gray" than the whitish green. You may be able to see what I mean in this photo of the plane from an ebay acution:
Still, its a great looking plane.
