saw that a while back at TRU and never did buy it thought it was too big for 1/18...
or the 21C were too small?
According to a spec sheet, the Tiger 1 has a width of 12 feet with combat tracks and the 21C comes pretty close to 8" wide.
I did think the 21C series 1 Sherman was too small, haven't measured it.
I'm not that hardcore, but I imagine there are some here that know.
Of course the tanks seem bigger than their actual specs say.

Actually, the scale of all of the 1:18 vehicles released by 21st and bbi (with the exception of their Target Elite Forces series, of course) have been pretty much spot-on!! Both 21st's and bbi's Shermans are correct in scale.scbvideoboy wrote:saw that a while back at TRU and never did buy it thought it was too big for 1/18...

bbi m1
EDIT - you said it. On width I'd say to the mm.
Makes you realize how big 1/18 scale is when you see the M1, F-18, etc...

Remember, that the Abrams isn't up 100% to 21st standards. Some hatches don't work and some of the detailing was skimpy. Over-all, it's a great piece, though. For somebody like me, It looks fine! But hey, I'm an airplane guy, so I wouldn't put much into it.....

I had passed on the Abrams and other BBI light modern armor due to the non-working hatches. They sat forever at the TRU here in Atlanta southwest.
I passed on all the birds due to the size and lack of anyplace to put them other than the attic.
I kick myself for not picking up at least one little-bird.
