New Carousel 1 Bf-109E
If anyone has already reported this I apologize, but I didn't see any new threads regarding this. Anyway, I was surfing Mark's OnMark International website (www.onmarkint.com) when I came across pictures of the next offering from Carousel 1: a really nice-looking Bf-109E-4, in three different paint schemes. First version is due in March of this year. They will cost about $70, like Carousel's first model, the P-40B. So I presume the Bf-109E will also be 1:48 scale, like the P-40B. Anyway, I intend to call Mark tomorrow to get the skinny on this great new plane. Hot Damn!

New Carousel 1 Bf-109E
This post hasn't seemed to arouse much interest, but I will add to it anyway.
I called the good folks at Apollo, Inc., the main distributor for Carousel 1 models. They confirmed that the new Carousel 1 Bf-109E will be 1:48, like their excellent P-40C. The first "Emil" will be an E-4 in Battle of Britain livery (Adolf Galland's kite from JG 26). Next out will be an E-7/Trop from North Africa(JG 27, Wolfgang Schroer's plane) with a drop tank.
The Apollo folks said more new 1:48 warbirds will come out later this year, with the tempo of new releases gradually increasing. Interesting? I thought so!

Carousel 1
Hi Don,
I'm listening!
Anyway, the Carousel 1 line of military aircaft has certainly garnered a loyal following considering their level of detail, lineage, and intent to produce more warbirds to compete with Franklin Mint in the same scale. Its refreshing to see someone playing in another company's sandbox and we hope they garner much success. Incidentally, we've listed the new birds on our web site and hope to have product shots shortly. The Nord Afrikan Me-109E looks especially nice!

Hey CW4USARMY: Sorry this reply is so late-I've been away from the computer.
Being a low I.Q. dude and technophobe, I'm unable to post pix of the Carousel One planes, but here are the websites to check out: www.apolloinc.org (the main distributor for Carousel 1 models) and www.carouselone.com. As lightning 2000 said, he will also be selling the new Carousel 1 Bf-109Es at The Motor Pool (www.themotorpool.bigstep.com). The Carousel 1 P-40Bs and Cs are things of beauty-I'm sure the Bf-109E will be a winner also. I talked with Frank Dalton, the President of Apollo/Carousel 1, and he assured me that other new 1:48 Warbird castings will be released this year, and even more in the near future. I tried giving him some suggestions for new models, but he didn't seem terribly interested in my brilliant advice. Come to think of it, neither is my wife! Hmmm!
