ok, i'm getting a tad frustrated now. I can find every tiank in this 1/20 series EXCEPT the pershing.

Does anyone know if it's possible to order off of Alibaba? There are several sellers on there offering the tank. One has a minimum order of one unit. Before i go through all the trouble of signing up on there, does anyone have any experience or knowledge if i will be able to order from a seller on there? How do they know if i'm a wholesaler or not, since they're in China and i'm in Canada?

You have my sympathies aferg, I hate it when you cant get something you want. It seems strange that you have not been able to get one of these - its almost as though fate is conspiring against you!!

I ordered off Aliexpress, no problems with payment and shipped pretty quick from China, it's the same company that runs Alibaba.

So, i found it. $130 shipped. I consider that overpriced for this thing, so i'm going to wait and keep looking but it's nice to now have an option to buy it.

so i FINALLY got one of these Pershings. I chatted with the store owner on Aliexpress and we negotiated the price down to $110 shipped. Ok i guess.

Anyway, it's on the way....nice to have a new (sort of) 1/18 scale tank.

well, i don't have a pershing after all. The seller contacted me and told me he doesn't have any in stock and won't order anymore wholesale because they don't sell well. However, he still has them listed for sale on Aliexpress.

So the guy is some kind of liar or crook. I'll have to cancel the transaction and get a refund from Aliexpress. sigh.

ok, this is getting kind of funny. The Aliexpress guy was all apologies that i was upset he didn't have the tank i ordered. so apparently, he put in great effort to get one for me and has shipped it.

So, now i have TWO pershings on the way....lol. Didn't really want to spend all that money right now but it's cool. I'll make one into a korean war pershing.

I was wondering about the hobbyraw site. I'm considering buying a KT from them, but I don't know anyone who has dealt with them yet. And I searched google for any reviews or feedback and came up empty. When your Pershing arrives would you mind letting me know what you think of them? Thanks much.

will do. They were a bit slow to ship (5 days) but i have a tracking number now, though nothing is showing up for it yet. You have to pay with paypal, no other option given, which is a good thing as it will be easy to get your money back if things don't work out.

On the bright side their communication has been quite good.

one of my Pershings came today. I quite like it....more than i thought i would. Though underscale it looks big, in part due to the fact that the turret is a bit overscaled with respect to the hull, so the turret itself is very close to being 1/18. The detailing on it is better than it looks in pics too. Quite good overall and with a nice paint job and a bit more detailing it should look great.

Digging up this old thread, partially for nostalgia purposes but also informative reasons as well, since new people that weren't part of this community in 2011 may be unaware of this option.

Surprisingly, this model is still readily available and is a bit better than it was before in that it has a better muzzle break on the barrel and side skirts. Two things the original model did not have. To recap, this is basically a 1/18 Pershing tank turret on a 1/20 Pershing tank hull. So, depending on collector's individual scale tolerances, it may be of interest or not.

And btw, American armor piercing tank rounds in WWII used red tracer, when they used tracer.....not all rounds had it.
