Dragon 1:18 heads
Not sure if this has been covered or not, but are the Dragon 1:18 figures' heads removable? If they are removable, do they work with XD or 1:18 elite force bodies? What about the accessories, do they work well if XD and Elite Force figures? Can these figures hold the Dragon equipment comfortablly?
ok..
Dragon:
Heads: Removable on purpose to swap with other Action 18 figures so no hot water needed. The neck "pegs" are very thin so the heads can go on any 1:18 figure really, but gravity often does a lot of the work keeping them on. They will stay, but not snug, Also, the Dragon heads are BIG. That is why their helmets swim a bit on XD or bbi heads, and why Dragon heads don't always look so good on other figures.
Weapons/Gear This is where the Dragon guys are great - the belts could be strapped on other figures, and the ponchos are just a swatch of fabric with a hole for a head, so they are Ok for other figures too. Best of all are the weapons. I cannot stress this enough. The Dragon weapons are BY FAR superior to all other brands - and I have them all, XD, bbi, Intoyz, Dusty Trails.... The bolt action rifles have bolts, the paint is perfect, some MP-40s have removable clips, the .45s are amazing, some rifles are equiped with M8s, the panzerfaust have warning labels, the grenades, carbine, BAR gun - every single weapon they made is by far better than all the rest, especially the bbi weapons which I find snap very easily and have terrible paint. 21C is catching up to bbi for the crappy weapons award - some of the S2 & S3 Marines have wood barrels and metal grips.
If you have the cash I would buy a few early Dragon guys for the weapons (and they display well too). Do NOT get the later Dragon guys who had no extra weapons and have a fake pea-dot camo.

I've found the Dragon heads work better with some of the bigger SW figures (older) for customizing but not so much with XD or EF figures like Digger mentioned.
The NCO German didn't look too bad though.
As their own standalone figures though, mixed with XD, they look perfectly fine. Their head sculpts are freaking great though. I love the NCO and the younger looking rifleman headsculpts. I have one of the US Infantrymen too (I have a couple actually) and they look nice too, and seem a bit smaller.
XD figures seem to have more matted down hair, while I think the Dragon figures have hair that looks more realistic without a helmet more than their heads being REALLY big or anything. They're not peanuts characters for sure.

I hate to hear that because I was wanting to get some of the 101st Airborne figures. Especially the Mohawk so that I could do a head swap with an XD para body. Then do the same with the BBi Mohawk para and the BBi regular 101st Airborne guy. That would have given me 3 Normandy 101st Airborne with Mohawks!
