21C parts?

Post by sarge » Fri Jan 20, 2006 3:40 pm

I bought the last USAAF 104 Starfighter that Wallyworld had on the 30 of Dec. after I got it home I find that it is missing the package that has the pilot tube for the nose cone, helmet, oxygen mask and parachute. I contacted 21C customer service dept and that is where it's been ever since (waiting for an answer back from the warehouse on availability). Outstanding customer relations. All I really need is the tube for the nose cone. The sites that 21C say's has spare parts don't have these and Wallyworld is no help. Maybe some of you could help out. Thanks I'd appreciate it.

I think you have a tough one with this. 21st (or rather, Arlene) used to go out of her way to replace missing or broken parts, but ever since she left there's been little to no "customer service". As far as 21st parts are concerned, it seems to be every man for himself. I once received the reply "We (21st) don't keep replacement pieces in the building", which I found strange as Arlene never had a problem finding parts. I'd suggest you keep a watch for another 104 at Wally, buy it, and return the first. After all, it was missing pieces when you bought it, it's not like you are trying to take advantage of the situation, you are just expecting the full value of what you paid for. Sorry I don't have a better answer.

Its funny on the Abrams (the 1/9th Scale One) it said to contact them if you have any problems. I did and was promptly ignored. When these guys come on like Roy I wish we would get an explanation as to why there Customer Service sucks as much as it does.

I got a spare tube for mine and you are welcome to it.
I don't need the parachute - you are welcome to it too.
I have an extra oxygen mask from a German pilot that may work with your F104 pilot.
PM me your Name and address and I will send you the stuff.

My thoughts exactly. Only problem Wallyworld don't know what they get in the mix. like pot luck. 21C just lost a customer. I'm not going to support an outfit that don't take care of their customers. That's probably why these on line suppliers are dropping 21C they don't like the negative feedback.
