P-38 - Disassembly - Do the wings detach from fuselage?

Trying to take apart a silver P-38 for shipping and can't remember if the wings or the wing tips come apart from the main fuselage and engine pods.
Can anyone help??

The wings detach just outside the engine pods. The main fuselage and engine pods are all one piece. Also, the tail booms detach just before the leading edge of the radiator scoops. Hope this helps.

It all should come apart rather easily. The design makes the P-38 rather easy to store as you can break it all down. Mine was also saved from breakage during a short fall once, as the parts all seperated and absorbed the impact. Had it been more solid in construction, wings and booms and what ever else may have snapped.

Thanks for all the help on the breakdown of a P-38. Mine got shipped out today to the highest bidder

I really didn't want to sell it, but the market is ripe for this plane.
I have another version of it, so I still have one. :D

Again, you guys are the best!
