Hobbyboss to release a 1:18 Fw-190a-5 kit.
The plastic model forum 'Cybermodeller' announced on their release date calendar that Hobbyboss is going to issue a 1:18 FW-190a-5 kit this August. I assume that Merit sold the kit tooling to Hobbyboss, but I don't have any other details.

Very interesting! Something similar occurred with Merit's 1/18 SBD Dauntless as well. I wonder if it will only be the FW-190A5 version like the prebuilt model or if it will have the option to convert to other variants of the plane. Even if just an A5, should it come with markings other than Graff's, it would be worth getting!
A 1/18 FW-190 kit will make all those other conversions for the 21c FW-190D9 obsolete

Did the Dauntless kit come with different markings and new parts options, or was it basically the prebuilt broken down?
That will answer your question.
