Airfix 1/32 Centurion

Post by ketelone » Sat Mar 19, 2016 2:32 pm

I was in a hobby shop today and noticed Airfix re-released the Centurion. I still have the original release (unbuilt). I wish there would be new releases for 1/32 Armor or plane models.

Are you referring to the Airfix Crusader? I know in recent years the old 1/32 kits are getting released more and more, with that Crusader and Airfix 17 pounder the latest on the list. The 17 pounder used to be a rare kit to find, and having acquired 3 before this re-release I was not pleased with myself knowing I had spent well over what they retail for now to acquire them.

Kevin. Yes, I'm sorry, the Crusader. If you remember you purchased an original kit from me a few years ago. Did you ever build it? I'm thinking about the 19 pounder.

The second last re-release of that kit included bonus A-Korp and Brit.8th army figure kits.
Pretty good deal!

i have four built and painted crusaders in my collection, all in N.Africa regalia as that is my favored theater. It is an excellent piece to complement the FoV Matilda or Figarti M3 Stuart Honey (if you have one of those rare beauts).
