The Return of Jnewboy Customs
Im sorry I have been MIA for so long. I have slowly let the "real world" suck me in and for that I am sorry.
I am back! and determined to make 2016 the best year yet for Jnewboy Customs and 1/18 scale. I have lots of work to do to climb out of the hole I am in but I have started getting up at 5am and getting 2hrs a day on it before work. I apologize to all those who are waiting for work to be completed, know your stuff is being made.
Beyond the projects that are due will be a huge amount of projects in 1/18 and 1/16 that will be for sale.
The most important thing is that I have been working on a personal side project that has become an obsession. This obsession that I have finally perfected will allow me and others to easily produce original 1/18 aircraft without the hell of scratch building or the insane prices of 3D printing. We will not have to wait for or worry about companies like Merit dragging their ass to produce something they have promised for years anymore.
The best part is that I am making a detailed instructional video detailing the process so you, yes you will be able to take my method and make your own aircraft in 1/18 scale with little to no skill involved! Sounds insane right?
Much more to come
Jnewboy Customs 2016 1/18 kit and full build releases:
Natter
Lippisch P13a
Polikarpov I-16
He-162
and more!

Hmmmmm....
I am interested as well .
Others have said that I have a little skill in building , I wonder what I could do with your newly developed Wonder Weapon .

Sounds very exciting! I'd love to have that Salamander.

My interest has been peaked. Any U.S. Military stuff planned for the future?

Yes my friend, you will love this and I expect you may fill your pockets and your collection using this process.pickelhaube wrote:Hmmmmm....

The thing is guys, it is easy, it was not at first but after working out the glitches and doing the math I have made it easy but it still takes time, nothing like the hours needed to scratch build but one person could not make everything everyone will want and therefore I am sharing the method. If we all work together to avoid duplicate kits being made we will have everything we have dreamed 1/18 scale would be and more!
Personally I am into German/Axis stuff & Soviet stuff and that will be my focus.
Some may do Allied stuff, Some may even do modern... Its up to the individuals wants.
Of the list of planes I am half done with the Lippisch P 13. I am on track to finish and have the kit available in January. My goal is to release the kit along with posting the video to YouTube and then the cat will be out of the bag!
It will be fun to watch this next year as collectors start making their own planes and multiple kits from multiple sources start to come to market!

You will get one my friend!
Its a cool jet and not just something found on a drawing board, it was close to having the first prototype built and the glider versions had all had great test results. Here is one that we captured.
The guy would go on to work for Convair and help design the F-102 and worked on the B-36.

Sounds intriguing for sure.
Really have no idea what it would be, as you have already discounted 3D printing.
Looking forward to more news and updates.

No armor at this time, once you see the video you will understand why. It is not impossible but to do it will take a considerable bit more work. It may be done though in the future. I have always wanted some armor that will likely never be made.1958Zelda wrote:Welcome back Jon

I know the holidays can be a dreary time for some and I was going to keep this close to the vest until the kit and video were ready, however I wanted to give you all a heads up for something you can look forward to in the new year.

I also forgot to add to my list the floats to make a Zero into a Rufe and the TA-152.
I thought about making an add on kit for the 152 but it actually became easier to just make the whole plane.
