I've worked a long time to make some humanitarian vehicles, so, know, here they are, just on time for the UN 70th annversary. Hope you'll enjoy it. Some détails below.

I found on the now down Foxholetoys site the idea of customizing a Powerteam Elite AFV (chinese type 92), if you goggle for it, you'll find some pics of white UN exemplaries. I added an IR video optic on the right side of the turret, modified the front windows, grab real sitting and standing places for the driver and commander crew and put real wire mesh over the engine compartment.
The trucks and trailers are from Schleich. Because it is simply made as solid toys for children, I had to add a lot of stuff: windshield and windshield wipers, rearview mirrors, headlights, exhaust pipe. The seats in the cabin have been modified and lowered, to have anough place for 1/18th figures (I think Schleich are 1/20th), completely remade the deck with aluminium planks, wooden floor, sewed a waterproof tarpaulin fitted on a metal structure (hen house wire mesh...). Of course pallets with specific humanitrian goods. And a lot of smaller details.
The houses are of polystyrene foam from old packages covered with papier-mâché.
The UN soldiers are from BBI. Some have Marauder SIG 552 assault guns. The african figures are modified from GI Joe's brand, also with Marauder weapons (RPG, RPK & AKM). The man with a Schleich donkey is a modified Indiana Jones figure, his wife is an also modified Star Wars one, the cart is all homework (wood and old meccano wheels), 2 UN civilians are from A-Team and Avatar... Not easy to find accurate civilan figures...
