Est price range $200-$250 for the kit .

Full build $ 400-$500 fully painted !!!!

Not a huge fan of WWI but I know the quite similar versions of the Albatros, with the D-III and D-V being the big ones, were the real workhorse of the German service from fairly early on 'til right up to the end. The Tri-plane was really more of a novelty and the D-VII came too late though for their time all were quite good with pilot skill being such an overwhelming factor.

The plan view of the Albatros was so bird-like with the tapered wing tips and rounded elevator. Quite elegant.

What makes the P-51 Mustang so special?

It is interesting that the Albatros has a little more interest than the Dr1
